im only 19 so i don't have a credit history and i only make about $12,000 a year. im trying to build my credit up and most banks turn me down because of my low income. Im a very responsible person and i know i can keep up with the payments so where can i find a credit card thats right for me?
Answer:
Well, your income is really not so high as required by most card issuing companies, that is a fact. But the worse thing is the lack of credit history, which does not allow creditors to estimate your risk. So, the firs thing is to start building your own payment history and second is to find one more source of income. There is a problem, however. You cannot qualify for a credit card because of you history and income, and this is a closed disk. Do not get frustrated, though. You can easily start off with a secured credit card offering credit lines of up to $10,000. You will be required to make a beforehand collateral deposit to be approved for the secured card and you may ask "What's the sense in such a card?". The sense is great, actually. Your regular monthly payments, your responsible card use will be reported to the credit bureaus and will build a strong credit history. You can also check cards for nor credit on our site, but be ready to pay hefty fees and great interest rates.

IF I APPLY ONLINE FOR A CREDIT CARD AND THE INTEREST RATE IS HIGHER THAN WE WANT , ARE WE OBLIGATED TO TAKE THE CARD OR CAN WE WITHDRAW OUR APPLICATION?
Answer:
Do not be afraid to withdraw the credit card you have just applied for. As a matter of fact, when you close a credit card account, you delete part of your credit history and so lower your debt ratio. In your case, you have very little, if any, history on the card, especially if you did not activate it. So your credit score will only take a small hit which will soon disappear from your credit report. If you are not going to make a big purchase in the nearest future, feel free to withdraw the application you made. However, we would not recommend you to practice this thing. Remember, that every application you make involves checking your credit (hard inquiry) which hurts your rating all the same. So try to make fewer but right credit card applications. Apply for a credit card no more that two times a year and choose as reasonably as you can, so as not to cancel it soon later.

I have a credit score of 685 i want to apply for card to do a balance transfer, i have 18,000 in AMX.
Answer:
Your good credit score allows you to make a balance transfer credit card application and be approved for it in a couple of hours or even minutes. On our site you will find a wide range of balance transfer offers from Discover, Chase bank, Citibank and American Express company. If you want to transfer $18,000 you have to check if the card you mean to apply for does allow such a limit, otherwise you will not get approval. When comparing balance transfer offers, pay attention to the interest rate plan, whether it is 0% intro APR or a low % ongoing (fixed) rate for until the balance is paid off. Then, make sure that the balance is transferred immediately, so that you do not continue to pay interest to your first company. When you get the balance transfer plastic, do not hurry to spend on it! Rememebr, it has a different APR which applies to purchases and still another APR which applies to cash advances. Use the card wisely and your debt will pay off the debt in a flash.

can you apply for additional credit card before you get discharge from chapter13 bankruptcy?
Answer:
Actually, the question here is not whether you can or cannot apply for a credit card while going through a repayment plan but whether you will be approved for the card or not. As a matter of fact, bankruptcy hurts your credit rating and shows you as a bad credit risk, so not all creditors will be willing to open a line of credit with such applicants. If you are speaking about an additional card offer to the card you are currently using, then you need to contact the bank and resolve the question on a case-by-case basis. If you are speaking about a completely new credit card application, then we recommend you to be very carefull and realistic choosing a plastic. As there is a bankruptcy declaration in your credit report, you will not qualify for a good, low rate and no fees offer. Even if you do have chances for approval, it will most certainly be a secured card or a bad/no credit card with very low limit and hefty fees. However, it is still a credit card, only with tougher terms to compensate for the risk the company is taking with you.

Does it really works how long does it take to get points.. cause im flying all the time and now its time to get something like that.
Answer:
If you have one of major credit companies' frequent flyer credit cards and if you regularly pay with them, then you must have already accumulated a sufficient number of miles (points) to benefit from. We advise you to read the disclosure of your credit card agreement where the minimum number of redeemable miles is specified. Some frequent flyer credit cards give you a good number of skymiles (bonus miles) with your first purchase on a plastic. Anyway, if you want to claim your miles, you should contact your card issuer or use the online banking service if your bank provides it. Your credit card company is to notify you about your redeemable options as well. As a rule, you can redeem points, or miles, for airline tickets, seat upgrades, hotel stays, cash back, gift cards and a lot more. Remember, your miles have an expiration date, and if you do not redeem them before that, the miles will disappear from your statement. Read the fine print to know the expiration date for miles on your card.

Are there rsirline miles reward cards that don't impose a fee for purchases made in a foreign currency?
Answer:
At the time, the most traveler-friendly airline miles credit cards are issued by Capital One bank. Not only does the bank not charge the foreign currency exchange fee but it also does not impose the 1% currency conversion charge required by Visa and MasterCard to for all purchases made abroad. Capital One credit cards are claimed to be the best plastic money to use overseas for their not charging exchange fees that make your overall trip more expensive. Discover Card Services were also known to not to impose foreign exhange fees but seem to be moving from this benefit at the moment. Considering that Capital One offers airline miles rewards, the absense of a foreign exchange fee is a great benefit for frequent travelers. Look throgh Capital One latest credit card applications on our site and you are sure to find a most rewarding and cheapest offer from the bank.

Could I qualify for a )% balance transfer credit card?
Answer:
Your ability to qualify for a 0% balance transfer credit card depends on your credit history. As a matter of fact, the best 0% APR offers online are meant for good and excellent credit applicants, so if your credit score is less than 660, your chances to be approved are practically reduced to nothing. Check your credit report, and if you qualify feel free to apply for a 0% interest balance transfer card online. Read the terms and conditions of the chosen card carefully. As a rule, the 0% APR on balance transfers is only valid during the introductory period which may last as long as 15 months at maximum. Try to pay off your debt until the introductory period is over, otherwise, after the 15 months you will be charged a fixed standard APR and will have to repay more. Also, if you mean to kill your balance easily and fast, avoid making purchases on your balance transfer card. If you do, you may run a new balance and may have to deal with two different debts.

i want to apply for a specific student card, the MTVu card but it will not accept my SSN. whats going on and how do i fix it?
Answer:
Unfortunately, we are not authorized to resolve questions related to the application procedure and its technical support. We do hope that your problem arises from the application process failure. Try again or get in contact with your bank's customer service for help. If, however, your application was denied on the ground of the improper Social Security Number, then you must have entered the wrong numbers or mixed up one number for another. Check if you typed your SSN correctly. If that does not help, the only thing you can do is to address the customer service for explanation. The problem might also be that you have a specific SSN like that which is valid for work or education only (in case you are a non resident) and that needs to be updated. We are unable to suggest any other solutions to your problem as you have provided too little information. Good luck.

Can you give a child a credit card that is linked to your account (if you're an adult)? If so, can you have the bank put a limit on their cards? Please tell me ALL you know about this because I am a child and for my fourteenth b-day I want to ask my dad for a credit card...I need to be able th present the facts and state my case. Thank you kindly for yout time!
Answer:
Some of the best credit card companies, among them American Express, MasterCard and Visa, will offer you an opportunity to manage a credit card even if you are under age. In this happens, you are referred to as an "authorized user". You do not sign up for the card and you are not held responsible for whatever debt is accumulated on the card. Your farther puts you as an authorized user of his account and pays all credit card bills each month. If your dad wants to take measures against overspending on his credit card, he may be allowed to set a limit on it. In fact, the ability to put a limit on the credit available depends on a particular card issuer, so you farther needs to find out if his bank offers such service. Earlier, an authorized user could build his/her own credit history with the help of a parent's credit card. But today card companies and credit bureaus are departing from this practice and your only benefit is credit card's paying power and perks.
