Can I apply for a Credit Card eventhough im not 18 |
|
Answer:
As a rule, all standard credit cards that do not require collateral or co-signer are available to people of 18 and elder. So, right now, you are not able to qualify for any of the major credit cards. On our part, we can offer two variants of solution to your problem. Solution1: You can just wait till you are 18 and apply for a credit card for no credit rating or limited credit. There are a lot of credit card applications for people who are starting their credit history and thus, have no bad credit records yet. A good example is Capital One Bank, a major issuer catering for customers with different credit ratings. You can consider two of its credit cards designed for customers building credit history - Standard Platinum and No Hassle Cash Rewards cards. Both have low APR on purchases and offer enticing rewards and saving programs. When you become an adult, probably the best plastic to start credit history with is one of these Capital One cards. If you are going to be a college student, then a nice option, when you become one, would be Citi® mtvUTM Platinum Select® Visa® Card for College Students. This point rewards credit card is an excellent tool to build your credit in a quick and enjoyable way. Solution 2: You can ask your parents to get you a prepaid credit card, which will be issued in their name. It looks like a standard credit card but requires a beforehand funding to be able to shop with it. The amount of money you fund the card with will be the limit. So, generally, you cannot spend more than you put into the card. A prepaid credit card is a convenient payment tool but is not a credit card and thus, does give you a revolving credit. You can use it to learn good spending and money management habits to prepare for a regular credit card in the future |

can i still apply for a credit card even though i am still paying one credit card off or should i wait until i have paid that one off and wait a couple of month before i apply again? |
|
Answer:
If there is only one credit card in your name and you applied for it more than two months ago, then you can safely apply for a new one. Financial experts say the overall number of credit cards you own is less important than the frequency you applied for them. As a rule, each application involves a credit check and it has an impact on your credit score. So, several applications made in a short period of time will shoot your credit score down. If there're no recently made applications, why wait? Go ahead and get yourself a new card if you need it. A very popular type of credit card on the present day market is a 0% balance transfer card designed for people who want to pay off balances without paying interest on them. So, if you'd like to save on paying off your current credit card, have a look at Discover More Card-Clear. You can transfer your debt onto this credit card and pay no interest at all for as long as 12 month. You will not only save but will also shorten the life of your balance. If the interest rate on your current credit card satisfies you and you just want a new card to obtain more credit and benefits, consider Blue from American Express. 0% APR on purchases and no annual fee put this card among the best offers for good credit customers. If you're short of credit history yet and cannot qualify for the above mentioned credit offers, you can chose to apply for Standard Platinum from Capital One Bank. This credit card favors customers with average credit who are making their way to a good credit history and have no negative credit records in their name. So, make sure your credit is in good standing and feel free to apply for one of these credit cards. |

Answer:
If you have balances on several credit cards and you want to pay them off at a lower interest rate, the best thing for you to do is to consolidate the balances onto a single, lower APR credit card. If you have a good credit rating, there is a wide range of 0% APR balance transfer offers to choose from. The key point is to find the right variant for your individual situation and expectations. If you think you'll be able to pay off your debts in as soon as 12 months, then consider applying for 0% intro APR balance transfer credit cards. We can offer you to compare More Card-Clear from Discover Company and Citi CashReturnsSM Card from Citibank both offering cash back rewards program along with the 0% APR benefit. Compare these credit offers side-by-side, paying special attention to balance transfer fees and APRs after the teaser period. In case you seek a longer period for repaying your debts but you still want to save on interest rates, have a look at Blue from American Express, a good credit card with a fixed low APR on balance transfers until they are paid off. With this credit card, you can keep on repaying debt for as long as you can make the last payment. Mind it that all these balance transfer credit cards are meant for good/excellent credit customers. Unfortunately, there are no 0% APR balance transfer cards available currently. So, check your credit report before you apply for any of these credit cards. |

how do I get a credit card if I have no credit history? |
|
Answer:
The absence of credit history is better than bad credit history, which might be the result of continuous defaults and late payments. So, you have all chances to make a good start applying for one of limited credit cards available with some major card issuers today. There are some basic things you should consider when choosing your first credit card. Pay attention to rates, fees and other credit card charges which determine the overall cost of the deal and thus your ability to meet your payment obligations. Also make sure that the card reports to all national credit bureaus as it makes the credit building process faster. We have offered for your comparison and choice some of the best credit cards which might be of great help on the way to a strong credit history of your own. So, have a look at Standard Platinum card and No Hassle CashSM Rewards card provided by Capital One Bank, an issuer catering for customers with various credit ratings including average. Examine these credit offers and compare their key features such as fees, rates and rewards to choose the card best suiting your paying capabilities and lifestyle. Though Capital One serves customers with limited credit histories, the bank is very particular and strict when assessing its potential customers' applications. Generally you have more chances to be approved if you have no bad records with other financial institutions and if you're recognized as a good credit risk. If you are a college student looking for your first credit card, pay attention to Citi® mtvUTM Platinum Select® Visa® Card, a no annual fee, point rewards card to help you build a good credit history. Make sure you pay all your credit card dues on time and never exceed the credit limit and you'll make a good start of your own credit file. |

Hello,
I learned a fewweeks ago that I had old medice bills hurting my credit. Also, Bank of America has me stuck. I deposited $600 in the ATM two year ago, and they told me that I didn't deposit anything. In the last year I have tryed to pay the bank of a few times, but I would get told I have to pay someone else. By the time I would contact them, they told me to contanct the bank. I am going to pay off alll of my debt, in the next month. What way is the best to start estabishing credit. |

Answer:
As you have a damaged credit rating and are looking to reestablish it, you're limited in your choice of credit cards. However, there are some good options to consider. Look through credit deals available with First PREMIER Bank, a major US card issuer working with applicants with troubled credit. You might be interested in two of its top offers with in-build credit repair programs. Centennial Gold MasterCard®/Visa is a great option for bad credit customers as it offers credit limit increases for payments on time and reports to all credit bureaus which helps you reestablish credit faster.Gold MasterCard®/Visa is another bad credit offer with reasonable APR and moderate annual fee to help you boost credit score in a while of responsible payments. Though First PREMIER Bank caters for bad credit applicants, it does not approve just everyone. When assessing your application, the issuer will look at your job income, monthly expenses, credit lines with other providers, debt-to-credit ratio and other factors. If you want to increase your approval chances, we suggest you consider applying for a secured card. Though it might no be as flexible and beneficial as unsecured cards, it is a great tool to reestablish credit fast and safe. Have a look at the features of Secured Visa® Credit Card from Applied Bank, which offers up to $5,000 in limit and lowest APR on purchases. Start establishing your credit with one of the credit cards suggested. Find which terms are more beneficial for you and apply online now |

I've applied for many credit cards, and I haven't got accepted for any. Does this hurt my credit, even though I have none. And whats the easiest way to establish credit. I have a full time job, i'm a full time student, and I have a 7500 car loan, with a co-signer right now. Is there any sugestions you can give me or anything you can do to help me build credit? Thank You |

Answer:
The most important thing when you try to get a credit card, especially your first credit card, is to apply for the right offer. Today, credit cards fall under many different types based on your credit history, social status, income and others. The reason why your applications haven't been accepted might be your wrong choice of the card. You shouldn't apply for just all credit cards that catch your eye and attract you by their terms and conditions as each time you're denied it is reflected in your credit report and might be seen by potential creditors. So, based on the information you provided, you are a student looking for the first credit card to establish credit. Considering these factors, we can offer you credit cards that satisfy your current status and might be of interest to you. Take a look at Standard Platinum for Young Adults and No Hassle CashSM Rewards for Young Adults credit cards offered by Capital One Bank and designed to help college students establish credit history. These credit cards offer manageable credit lines so that you could control your finances more easily and safely. If you were happy to get a great rewards credit card to help you build credit, then pay attention to Citi® mtvUTM Platinum Select® Visa® Card for College Students which offers you to earn and redeem points for MTV events and have discounts at the MTV Store. The fact that you have a car loan now, provided you are a responsible payer, only improves your chances to qualify for one of these cards. Choose a credit card best meeting your requirements and apply online. |

Can I get a business card if I own rental property? Does that count as a business? Thanks |
|
Answer:
Yes, owning a rental property is not just an investment, it is a real business that involves considerable cash flow and needs a good financial management. A small business credit card with a business-size credit line, annual business account summaries, customer service and online account access is just the right money management tool for you. Choosing a really beneficial business credit card is a hard task as there are a lot of factors to consider: annual fees, interest rates on purchases and balance transfers, the cost of the rewards program, credit limit and the quality of the card service overall. Based on all these factors, we made a search and selected three business credit cards that may appeal to you. Business Platinum Rewards MasterCard® from Advanta Bank is a low APR, no annual fee business credit card that offers a great introductory period of 15 months on balance transfers. It has a flexible rewards program that allows you to either earn cash back or travel rewards. If you want to benefit from business purchases made with a credit card, consider CitiBusiness Card® with ThankYou Network®issued by Citibank. Or have a look at Business Platinum with No Hassle CashSM from Capital One Bank, a small business credit card with 0% APR on purchases and unlimited cash back rewards program. Credit cards from Advanta Bank and Citibank are meant for good and excellent credit applicants, so, if you are considering applying for any of them, make sure you qualify. To be approved for Capital One business card, you need to have above average credit rating. |

why i can not get credit cards |
|
Answer:
The key thing is to apply for the right credit card and not just any card that catches your eye. There's such a great number of credit card offers on today's credit market that it is very easy to be misled and choose a plastic you do not qualify for in fact. This must be the reason why you've been denied with all banks you applied with. So, it is time you make a credit card search based on the major principles and requirements. As a matter of fact, the most significant requirement you are to comply with is to apply for a credit card designed right for your credit rating. As you do not specify the status of your credit history and your credit score, we've selected three different credit cards that may appeal to you. Generally, customers with good or excellent credit scores are approved for any credit rating credit card, so we offer you to review card products for people with less than perfect credit. If you are building your credit history at the moment, if you have a valid credit score with at least one credit bureau and if you have a decent income, you may choose between Capital One Standard Platinum and No Hassle PointsSM Rewards credit cards. These card offers are meant for people with a limited credit history who cannot afford higher limit credit cards. You mustn't have any bad credit records with previous or current financial institutions to qualify for these Capital One credit cards. In case your credit has been damaged by late payments or defaults, or bankruptcy records in your credit file, you could qualify for Gold MasterCard®/Visa from First PREMIER Bank, a credit card for customers looking to repair their poor credit history. Though First PREMIER Bank credit cards are meant for customers with damaged credit, they do not accept all applications. Each application is reviewed on an individual basis and the lending decision is made based on the credit risk you are. Compare the credit cards offered and choose one that's right for your credit rating. |
