Hi, I am international student first coming here, i would like to apply a credit card for my daily expense and to set up my credit, i have the SSN, could you recommend one to me, please?
Thank you very much!
Answer:

International students often have difficulty with obtaining a credit card, especially when they don't have a payment history here. However, there are some options that you can choose from. A most unfailing way to get a credit line is to apply for a secured credit card. Very often, it's the only option an international student has during the first months in the USA.

We'd advise you Black Diamond Visa® from Millennium Bank, a high limit secured credit card that reports to all major bureaus, helping you establish personal credit history. Secured Visa® Credit Card of Applied Bank offers a smaller credit line but charges no set-up fee and a competitive APR.

The secured cards will require you to make a cash collateral deposit which will be your limit. However, after a period, usually 6 months, of wise use and on-time payments, the deposit requirement will be eliminated and you'll be able to qualify for a standard unsecured student credit card.

Once you qualify, consider applying for Standard Platinum for Young Adults from Capital One Bank, a major issuer working with students and young adults with a valid credit score in one of the US credit bureaus.

You can, however, try Capital One unsecured card first, but remember that a denial will be reflected in your credit report, worsening future chances of approval.Study the credit cards online and choose the right one to start payment history in the USA.

how to apply for a credit card when you don't have perfect credit.
Answer:

You can apply for a credit card but the type of the card will depend on your particular situation. If your credit is less than perfect because you're just building your payment history and there are insufficient payment records in your name yet, you can consider getting one of the "limited" credit cards offered by Capital One Bank.

Capital One Standard Platinum is a great no annual fee, low rate deal for people building up their credit history. Capital One Platinum - Visa does charge a mild annual fee but allows you to save with a lowest APR on purchases. These cards would be perfect for young adults with a job who are short of credit history but who have a valid credit score at one of the bureaus. You are required to have no bad payments with any current or previous financial companies. If you are a college student, these cards will also suit.

In case you have damaged credit, meaning that you've made late payments and exceeded the credit limit, you need to apply for a bad credit card. The best deal is offered by Centennial Gold MasterCard®/Visa from First PREMIER Bank, a low rate plastic designed for credit repair purposes. After a certain period of responsible payments, you'll upgrade your credit and will be able to qualify for good credit cards with beneficial terms and rates.

Find which of the cards you qualify for and apply online.

If i have no credit history how can I go about appling for credit cards without damaging my credit?
Answer:

To avoid damaging credit you need to apply for the right card. The right choice depends on your current social and financial status. Assuming that you are a young adult working for living and owning a valid credit score at one of the credit bureaus, or you're a college student, you can be approved for Capital One "limited" credit offers.

Choosing a Capital One Platinum - Visa, you get a moderate annual fee and save on purchases with some of the lowest APRs in the market. If you apply for Capital One Standard Platinum you'll benefit from no annual fees and extensive Platinum Benefits.

Before you apply for any of the Capital One cards, make sure there are no bad payments or bankruptcy records in your credit report.

If you do not have a good income and a valid credit score and you're not a college student, then the right choice would be a secured credit card. Consider applying for Black Diamond Visa® issued by Millennium Bank, a high limit card with reasonable pricing and additional benefits. You will have to make a cash collateral deposit which will be your limit. In a while of responsible payments, you'll build up a credit score and will be able to get a standard unsecured card with best rates, fees and rewards.

Choose a credit card based on your current social status and paying capacity and apply for it online.

What credit card is best for someone without no credit history?
Answer:
If you are a young adult working for living or you are a college student, and there is a valid credit score found at any of the national bureaus, you can qualify for a "limited" credit card issued by Capital One Bank.

Capital One Standard Platinum is a no annual fee plastic with up to $3,000 in credit limit. Minimum income requirements apply with this offer. No Hassle CashSM Rewards for Young Adults would be a great option for beginning credit users as it has a moderate annual fee and competitive APR on purchases.

When assessing your application Capital One will take into account lots of details from your personal and financial background. You have to be a good risk to qualify. It means you need to have a good stable income and favorable references from other financial institutions. There should be no bad payments in your name.

However, if Capital One requirements do not meet with your current financial standing, the only way to obtain credit is through a secured card. Black Diamond Visa® of Millennium Bank is a great tool to establish credit. After a while of responsible payments, you'll build up a good score and upgrade the card to a standard unsecured line of credit.

I have been our of bankruptcy for 3 + years not my average fico is 703 which bank card are more favorable to approve someone like me. also the bankruptcy doesn't show on my experian report.
Answer:

If you've been discharged from bankruptcy for 3 years already and since then you have improved your credit up to the good level, there are chances you'll be approved at some banks. However, to ensure your success, you should apply at the company that works with Experian credit reporting agency.

According to our data, one of the friendliest to post-bankrupts banks working with Experian is Capital One. If your Experian score is good, consider the following good credit offers. Capital One No Hassle CashSM Rewards is a no annual fee card with competitive rate on purchase and unlimited cash back. Capital One Platinum offers lowest interest on purchases and a bunch of Platinum Benefits besides. No Hassle MilesSM Rewards is also a good credit card but with a slightly higher interest rate because of the generous miles rewards program.

Before you apply for one of these cards online, do make sure that the bankruptcy doesn't show and that you didn't make any late payments during the last year.

I have a FICO score of 701. I am a little scared to apply for a credit card because I completed the CCCS program last year and have not applied for any credit cards since. I did finance a new car last year with no problem but was unsure as to how the credit card world looks at me now. Do you have any suggestions as to what card might be best to apply for now?
Answer:

You did get your credit score hurt while you went through CCCS but now that you've completed the program and paid off all of your debts, you can be a favorable applicant. So, if there is not a bankruptcy record in your file and you haven't been late on any of your bills for at least the last year, you can search through a range of reasonable credit cards available on our website.

But to increase your approval chances, we advise you start with cards for average credit issued by Capital One Bank. Such credit cards have a manageable credit limit and reasonable terms and rates which help you avoid falling into a new debt.

Capital One Platinum - Visa is a low APR credit card for people with a stale income, a valid credit score and no bad payments of late. Capital One Standard Platinum offers a no annual fee deal attended by extensive Platinum benefits. The same eligibility requirements apply with this offer.

If for the reason of past debts you get turned down by Capital One, your only option is to still improve your credit. For this purpose, consider Centennial Gold MasterCard®/Visa from First PREMIER Bank, a credit card for rebuilding/reestablishing one's payment records. In a while of responsible payments, you'll become eligible customer for any bank's good credit card.

My banking account is under. I need immediate funds asap. How can I apply for a credit card ?
Answer:

You can apply for a credit card on our website but you are not guaranteed approval for just every offer you want. You have to choose a credit card based on your credit history, your FICO scores, your income, spending patterns and lots of other factors. These factors divide all cards on our site into 3 main categories: cards for excellent/good credit, cards for no/limited credit (beginners) bad credit offers.

If your credit score is somewhere between 660 and 850, it means your credit history is good/excellent and you are a favorable customer for some of the best card issuers. In this case, we advise you Blue from American Express, a high limit plastic card for good credit customers. Its major eligibility requirements are that you have a long and faultless payment history and stable and high job income.

If your credit is limited (620-659) due to a short payment history which you are building at the moment, consider a no credit card from Capital One Bank. Capital One Platinum Visa is just the right variant for this case. With reasonable pricing and decent credit limit, it's designed for beginning credit card users without any bad payment records in their name. If you have a job and good income, if you have/had a US bank account and there's a valid credit score in your name, apply for Capital One Platinum Visa online.

Now, assuming that your credit is bad due to non-payments and bad spending habits, we'd advise you Centennial Gold MasterCard®/Visa from First PREMIER Bank. This card is for credit repair purposes. Though its initial credit limit is low, it allows increases, provided you make your payments on time.

Choose a card right for your credit status and apply for it online.

what credit cards/creit limit $$ can I get with a credit score of 509
Answer:

It depends. If your score is low because of too young payment history, say you are a college student or young adult working for living, you can qualify for the attractive limits on average credit cards from Capital One Bank.

Capital One Standard Platinum, a no annual fee card for limited credit, can give up to $3 000 depending on your income. If you're a college student, your income will not be considered. No Hassle CashSM Rewards does have a moderate annual fee but pays for it with unlimited cash back rewards. The same limit applies. You are required to have your other accounts, if any, in good standing to qualify for Capital One credit cards.

In case your credit is damaged by late payments and overspending and needs improving, the right variant for you is a bad credit card from First PREMIER Bank. Centennial Gold MasterCard®/Visa offers a relatively small initial limit ($250-$300) but enables to increase it when you make your first 2 payments on time.

I am considered to have good credit by equifax. My credit score is 680. So why am I turned down by credit offers for those with fair credit? Does it hurt me when I apply for a few credit cards with in a few months? I just got turned down, I need a better credit card but will it look bad because I was already turned down?
Answer:

Perhaps you applied at the companies which use other credit reporting agencies as the main source of your credit and personal data. Check if TransUnion and Experian report the same good FICO scores before you apply for another credit card. Too many applications within a short period of time bring your scores down by several points. On our part, we can name at least 2 companies that will use mainly Equifax when assessing your application.

Consider Chase Bank and its Platinum Visa, a card for good credit applicants with 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers. Citibank Citi® Platinum Select® Card® is a cheapest good credit card in terms of interest rates which offers great Platinum benefits on top of everything.

If you want a fair credit card, pay attention to Capital One Platinum - Visa, a low APR card for people with short payment history.

Before you apply remember, your approval depends on lots of other factors besides the scores. The bank will assess your total job income, your spending patterns, your other debts if any, the way you manage them and many other things. Also, if there are any bad payments made lately in your name, your approval chances are reduced.

Find the eligibility requirements with each company and apply for a card online.

I have a citibank platinum card with an annual pay,I requested a trnasnfer from to a lower and no annual as so i can pay of the bal faster
Answer:
If your credit is good-to-excellent (660-850 FICO score), you can choose from a variety of low APR or 0% APR balance transfer cards online. If you prefer a lowest ongoing rate on balance transfers until paid off, consider applying for Blue from American Express. It is a no annual fee card with 4.99% on balance transfers during the 15-month intro period. You are required to have a high job income and faultless credit history to be approved.

Looking to save with 0% APRs? Take a look at More Card - Clear from Discover Company. Along with 0% intro APR on balance transfers, it offers a no annual fee benefit and lavish cash back rewards. Chase Bank's Platinum Visa is also a 0% APR, no fee card offering a bunch of Platinum benefits besides. You need to pay your balance in full during the 12-month introductory period. Or if you don't cope within this period, you can apply for another 0% balance transfer card and continue repaying your debt.

Before you apply for any of the cards, make sure that their limits allow transferring your debt. Also, check your credit report because if you have bad payments on your Citibank card, you won't probably qualify.

You are welcome to apply for a balance transfer card online.
