how do i get a credit card without havIin a bank account?
Answer:
If you have never before had a bank account and there is no credit score, then the only card you can be approved for is a secured credit card. You will get a credit line but in turn you'll have to open a savings account with the bank and deposit an amount required. As your payment experience with a secured card grows, you'll be able to apply for unsecured cards later. We suggest you get one of these secured cards:

Black Diamond Visa® from Millennium Bank offers great service, reports your payments monthly to credit bureaus and even allows earning high interest on the deposit. It is a perfect choice for those who look to establish and build strong credit.

Secured Visa® Credit Card from Applied Bank has low fixed APR on purchases and no set-up fee. You can deposit as much as $5 000 into the savings account and it will be your limit. The card offers credit bureau reporting and acceptance at millions of locations worldwide.

Bank of America offers Secured Visa® Platinum card, also a good choice to establish credit and get a credit line. Low APR on purchases and moderate annual fees help build credit least costly.

Establish payment history with one of the secured credit cards online. Apply now.

Answer:
The best way to get credit at 18 is to apply for a student credit card. If you attend college, consider applying for Capital One Standard Platinum for Young Adults . You get a manageable credit limit and no annual fees. Besides you can save up to 40 % on featured merchandize if you shop with the card.

If you are no a student and you do not have a stable job and income, get a credit card with a co-signer. Try applying for Capital One Platinum - Visa, a card for limited credit rating. You can be approved if you have a reliable co-signer. The card has a low ongoing APR on purchases and balance transfers and 0% intro rates until May, 2009.

Capital One Standard Platinum is also a great deal which offers no annual fee and allows saving through the 0% teaser period. You have more chances to qualify with a co-signer.

My name is Courtney, I am 19 years old and I am trying to build credit so I can get a student loan so I can start school. I need to know which credit card I should use that would except someone that has no credit and that also won't charge me a buch of fees. If you could get back to me I would be very appreciative. Thank you and have a great day.
Answer:
You are not required to have credit established to start school. School is a perfect place to do it. Some card companies will issue you a student credit card even if there is no credit history in your name. The main requirements are age verification, social security number and residence record, and of course you are to be a student. We advise you get one of these cards:

Capital One Standard Platinum for Young Adults is a great deal for college students. It has an adequate credit limit, no annual fee and 0% APR on purchases.

As an alternative, pay attention to No Hassle CashSM Rewards for Young Adults, also from Capital One Bank. The card carries annual fee but preserves 0% APR on purchases. Besides there is an attractive cash back rewards program that allows earning free money on everyday purchases.

Citi® Platinum Select® Card for College Students requires no minimum income or co-signer to qualify for. You will get no annual fee, 0% intro APRs and low ongoing interest rates on purchases and balance transfers.

If you are a student already, qualifying for one of these cards is easy. You are welcome to apply online.

I have a Bank of America cc with balance of $11,365.00 at a rate of 11.9% and an Airtran cc with balance of $5,650.00 at a rate of 28.99%. I need to consolidate and mainly get rid of the high interest rate. I now live at home and have a $45000.00 annual salary and can afford to pay $1500.00 a month towards the debt. What are my options? Please help!
Answer:
You could have great balance transfer options if your credit rating is good or excellent. Then you may apply and be approved for a high limit credit card with favorable rates on balance transfers. Get your credit report to know if you can qualify for one of the following cards:

Excellent credit is required by Capital One Platinum Prestige - Visa which comes with 0% APR on balance transfers until October, 2009 and a lowest ongoing APR after that. if you've never had bad payments with Capital One or any other issuer, and your overall financial situation looks favorable, you may qualify.

If your rating is good-to-excellent, pay attention to Dicover More® Card - Clear with 0% balance transfer APR, low interest rate after that and no annual fee.

Good credit allows being approved for Citi® Platinum Select® Card® which also offers 0% transfer rate for 12 months and as low as 7.49% rate after.

Before you apply, make certain that all your previous payments and accounts are in good standing. Your high income and a permanent residence will help.

Where can I find a credit card that has no pre-set credit limit or has a high limit?
Answer:
No present limit and high limit credit cards are available only to excellent and good credit rating applicants with FICO scores ranging between 660 and 850.

As an excellent credit customer (750-850 FICO score), you may try to apply for Capital One No Hassle MilesSM Ultra - For Professionals card. Though its credit line ranges between $500 and $30 000, it's a no present limit credit card because the bank does not charge you an over-the limit-fee for exceeding the amount available. Any amount spent over the credit line will be due in the next statement.

Blue from American Express® is a high limit credit card offered to customers with good-to-excellent credit. A credit line up to $100 000 allows making major purchases and pay for them at a low interest rate. No annual fee and point rewards apply.

Discover More® Card is for those with very good credit who'd be satisfied with $50, 000 in credit line. 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers are available with this offer. There is no annual fee and a lucrative cash back rewards program.

Apply for one of these top cards online if your credit rating allows it.

I have a credit score of 713 but my history is very young (less than a year). I currently hold 2 store cards (jcp & boscovs) and i cancelled my capitalone card last month. I will be graduating with my electrical eng in couple of months and I have a job lined up. I would like to apply for a cash back or a travel creditcard (preferably a travel card). I would appreciate your suggestions and tips. Thanks in advance.
Answer:
Though your credit score is high you still have average/limited credit history. So, we can only suggest Capital One cards for average/limited credit history and student credit cards.

Have a look at Capital One No Hassle CashSM Rewards for Young Adults. If qualify, you'll get a manageable credit line, moderate annual fee and competitive APR on purchases. You'll earn cash back on each dollar charged, with no limits and expiration dates.

Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Card for College Students offers 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers and attractive APR after the teaser period. No annual fees and a generous cash back rewards program apply.

Discover® Student Tropical Beach Card comes with 0% rate on purchases for 6 months and no annual fees. You'll earn 5% cash back bonus on purchases in travel, gas and grocery categories and 1% cash back on all other purchases.

Unfortunately, best travel rewards credit cards are not available to applicants with limited credit history. Choose among the cards suggested and apply online to continue building strong credit.

I had to file bankruptcy after a bad divorce in which I lost everything. I would like to start re-building my credit. I just paid off my car loan and currently do not owe anyone anything. I need a low limit credit card to start re-building my credit.
Answer:
The best credit cards to build, rebuild or reestablish credit are provided by First PREMIER® Bank. They can be available even to applicants with past bankruptcy records. A secured credit card might also be an option if you don't qualify for First PREMIER® Bank applications. Choose among 3 top cards for bad credit rating online:

Centennial Gold MasterCard®/Visa is a low limit credit card that provides monthly credit bureau reporting and offers credit line increase after the first 2 payments made on time. It has low APR on purchases and reasonable annual fee.

Gold MasterCard®/Visa comes with similar terms and conditions but excludes credit limit increase right after the first 2 months of card use.

The secured Black Diamond Visa® of Millennium Bank can approve you more easily because you provide a collateral cash deposit as required. It doesn't make a credit check and allows making a large deposit, up to $10,000. Besides, you'll get a special high introductory savings rate on the amount deposited. This card is an effective way to rebuild credit after bankruptcy.

Estimate your chances for each of the cards and apply online today.

Where and how do I apply for a credit card with a co-signer? I am a fresh out of college and in the work force but have no credit history and no one will approve me for a credit card on my own.
Answer:
There is no point thinking you won't be approved. If, while at college, you took out a student federal loan and made payments on it, then there is already a valid credit score in your name. Then, you have a job which means you can make payments on a regular credit card. We can suggest you Capital One credit cards which offer low-limit deals to young people and approve them with or without a co-signer. If you want to play safe, you may contact the bank to know if the allow co-signers before you apply.

Capital One Platinum - Visa is a low limit ($300-$3 000) credit card for those who want to build credit. It can approve you even if you've never had credit card, but you should have at least some payment records in your name (cell phone bills, personal loan payments, federal student loan payment history). It is a low APR credit card with a moderate annual fee.

Capital One Standard Platinum offers the same credit limit and does not charge annual fees. Its purchase APR is a bit higher but you'll save through the 0% intro period. The same eligibility requirements apply.

These are best cards to get in your situation. If you fail, the only option remaining is to apply for a secured card. Consider Black Diamond Visa® from Millennium Bank as your first bank card to start building payment history.

I need to find another credit card to transfer a balance of 7700.00. My interest rate has jumped to 28.49% because of one late payment. This was after my payment due date was to be changed and an "error" caused the change to not show up in the records at Chase.
Answer:
If you've always had good credit and this was the only late payment in your history of card use, then you can possibly qualify for 0% or low % balance transfer credit cards.

Discover More® Card - Clear requires good-to-excellent credit to qualify. You get 0% APR on balance transfers for 12 months and no annual fee. After the intro APR expires you'll have 10.99% ongoing APR until the balance payoff. An attractive cash back rewards program is available.

Citi® Platinum Select® Card® is designed for good credit rating, offering 0% intro balance transfer APR and a very low non-intro interest rate after the intro period. There is no annual fee and a whole range of platinum benefits. There isn't a rewards program on this offer, however.

Capital One Platinum offers 0% intro APR on balance transfers and purchases until October 2009 and no annual fee. No rewards program applied.

Before applying, make sure your credit rating meets a good credit card's requirements. Check your credit score. Provide evidence of high income and stable job. Apply for a credit card online.
