Our credit is below average at this time. We have had our house for 17 years and we have been late on one payment during that time due to the person I was building a website for filed bankruptcy before pay me the $1200 he owed for the website. I am retired military plus I build custom websites in which I ask to be paid in cash in return of a 20% discount.

My wife and I want to apply for a credit card that has no setup fees or has large one-time fees charged to the credit card leaving the available credit next to nothing. We are wanting a credit limit of around $500 for emergency us during owe Christmas trip to visit our daughters in Tampa, FL. and a card that we can get by the 20th when w leave on our trip.

Your help and suggestion would be very much appreciated.
