Is ther a site that I can enter my social number and it tell me what card I'm I approved for |
|
Answer:
I really doubt there is such kind of a site. To learn what credit cards you are eligible for, you should get your credit report, and according to your credit rating, you can evaluate your opportunities.
You should realize how the process of approval is carried out. You apply for a credit card, sending to the bank an application form in which you indicate a number of other items, besides your SSN, and the bank makes an inquiry to a credit bureau to get your credit report and find out, if you are eligible for the chosen credit card or not. |

I currently have a credit card that is ripping me off and I am stuck paying mostly interest as I try to pay it off. When ever I apply for a card over the phone or on the computer, the actual deal I get is no where close to the deal offered by the company. How do I get a card offer in the mail that will give me a good balence transfer rate in which I can take a better control over my bill and spend my money on more important things such as school. |
|
Answer:
If you have limited credit history, it is difficult to get a beneficial credit card with low charges and rewards. The reason why you get deals with less attractive terms than were stated in the advertisement, is that you have worse credit that this credit card requires. In any terms&conditions statement you can find the fees and credit limit dependence on the actual credit history of the customer.
In your situation you should be realistic and get ready to work hard on your credit history. Get your credit report and apply for cards according to your credit conditions, to avoid disillusionment and denials. Be sure, you won't be able to find a balance transfer credit card if you credit is lower than good.
Good luck! |

what does apr stand for |
|
Answer:
APR abbreviation means Annual Percentage Rate. It stands for the cost of credit as a yearly rate. APR results from summing a number of fees and charges that come with the credit card and depends on the total amount financed, the finance charges, and the term of the loan. A credit card can have several types of APR - intro APR, ongoing APR, default APR - you can find a detailed explanation of these terms at our details help page.
APR is a very significant feature of a credit card, so the better your credit is, the lower APR is available with the credit cards you can be approved for. You can look at low or 0% APR credit card applications at the corresponding page of our site. |

How do I cancel my credit card? |
|
Answer:
Every bank determines the way of cancelling an undesired credit card and describes it at its official site or explains it by phone. Since we are not a credit card company, we do not indicate how customers can cancel their credit cards. You should ask your bank for details of this procedure.
In most cases, you can cancel your credit card
- by phone: call the customer service and dictate the necessary information to the operator
- via Internet: go to the official site of the bank and follow the given instructions to fill out the cancellation form |

I have no credit history and would like to apply for a gas credit card with citibank or discover. Do these companies report to major credit bureaus? |
|
Answer:
The first thing you should pay attention to is that gas credit cards and most credit cards by Discover and Citibank require good to excellent credit. So, it's most likely that you will be denied for them.
You should build your credit to a good one, after which you will be able to apply for any rewards credit card, such as gas credit card, and choose any credit card company.
As for reporting to credit bureaus, be sure that any credit card you apply for, you use or you are denied for, is reflected in your credit report. If you pay always on time and in full, and take care of your credit records, your credit rating will be growing and equally good with all credit bureaus. |

I applied for a horizon gold card, offering $1,000 unsecured credit for $9.95 activation one time fee, and $9.95 a month for the card. I had a postcard here offering $500 unsecured credit. I did this on December 28, 2006. You said I would have the card in 5 days. My money is sitting in the bank. Where's the card? What's the scoop. I will waiting for your reply. Thank you. |
|
Answer:
If something is wrong with your credit card - you can't receive or activate it, or the payments don't go through, you should IMMEDIATELY contact the bank issuer of this credit card and ask them about it.
We do not have access to your personal information or bank accounts, we also do not issue credit cards or make any operations with them, as our only aim is to provide the customers with up-to-date and detailed information on the credit cards. So, we can't help you in any way or assist your clearing out the situation. The only thing you can do is to turn to the bank. |

I applied for a card and it was denied I\\\'m trying to find out if I owe you any money if so I would like to take care of my bill. |
|
Answer:
Our site is not a bank, so we do not issue credit cards or approve or activate them. We also have no access to your personal information and to your bank accounts or credit card balances. So, we can't say if you owe something to the bank or not.
If you had to pay anything (though you wasn't supposed to, as you weren't approved), now there's no sense in paying it back, as you do not hold this credit card, thus, you do not use the services of the bank.
The thing that should interest you is whether the fact of your being denied was reflected in your credit reports (mind your score have been lowered). |

Hello: I have been trying for months to get my credit card activated and have even sent in two or three payments without it even being activated and I still can't get it activatged. I have consulted a local attorney who says I should cancel this card and possibly file a small claims court case against your bank. My account is 4006-1000-****-****. If this cannot be resolved within the next 48 hours, consider my card cancelled and I will no longer be making any payments on the card and I will request a refund of the money I've already paid. |
|
Answer:
The matter is that our site is not a credit card issuer and can't activate or make any other operation with a credit card. We only collect the best credit card offers at our site and help the customers to choose the right card and build a good credit history. So, in your case, you should have contacted the bank you have a card with as soon as the first payment wasn't followed by activation (you don't have to pay for a credit card that wasn't activated, except for a setup fee or something of the kind).
If you do not want to use this credit card anymore, you should cancel it (mind credit score lowering a bit). If you want to go on using the card, you should find out why your payments didn't go through. In both cases, you'll have to contact the bank. |

i have no info on how to use this acct. please inform. |
|
Answer:
Our site's business is just providing the latest and detailed information on the credit card offers of the leading banks and credit card companies and assisting the customers in choosing and applying for credit cards. We DO NOT have any kind of access to your accounts and personal information. We have not the least notion of what sort of account your are having and with which bank, and it is only the bank that can give you instructions on how to use your bank account or credit card.
If you have some difficulty in this, please, contact the bank and make everything clear, to avoid mistakes or problems with your credit card accounts. |

|
Answer:
Unfortunately, we can't help you in this, as we are not credit card issuers and considering credit card applications is beyond our competence. It is only the bank that has access to your personal information you give in credit card applications and it is only the bank that can put changes into the application forms. So, you should call the bank's customer service and ask them what you should do. You can either cancel your present application and send another one, with the correct address of yours. Or, if it is possible, you can ask them change the wrong items.
Do it as soon as possible. |
