why is it so hard to establish credit
Answer:
It depends on the credit you want to establish. If you have no credit history or bad credit, you'll never be given a large sum of money, and you are very likely to be satisfied with a secured credit card. Banks and credit companies are afraid of your possible denial to pay off your balance, so, simply said, you have to gain their confidence by your responsible behaviour. Begin with small credits , pay them off in time and win the right to have beneficial credit cards to be able to afford more.

why should I get a secured credit card and pay finance charges on my own money? I don;t understand how I will build credit on my own money.
Answer:
If you have no credit or bad credit history and want to establish or rebuild your credit, usually you are offered a secured credit card. It requires a money deposited on your bank account, that is a guarantee that you will pay off your credit. In case you miss your payment the bank has a right to take the money on your account as a payment. Secured credit doesn't mean that you give your money to the bank and pay charges on it, it only requires that you have a definite account. Thus the bank tries to cover the risk of giving you credit, and you assure the bank of your responsibility. What's more, you "learn" how to pay your balance off regularly and in full.
This opens you a road to more beneficial terms of credit, in other words, establishes or rebuilds you credit history.

I did a poor job paying people in my twenties. In the last 3.2 years I have done better at my spending. I would like to look into a secured card. What do I need to do? Also am I guaranteed approval. I do not want the inquiry unless it is guaranteed. Thank you

Answer:
Look through Secured Credit Cards category at our site and choose the one that you like best. One of the most popular secured cards is Orchard bank secured MasterCard with guaranteed approval. The worst credit score is eligible for it. To make an application click the corresponding link by the chosen card and fill out the form.

how can i get approved for a credit with not so good credit?
Answer:
To avoid denial, you should be sure you apply for a credit card for which your credit score is eligible. Get your credit report to know the score for sure and make an application for (maybe, in your case) a bad credit or a fair credit card.

What is the best credit card for someone with a bankruptcy?
Answer:
In most cases people get secured credit cards, that require collateral (money deposited on a bank account) and have rather high charges. In case you pay it off without delinquencies your credit score will increase so that you will be eligible for a bad credit unsecured card.

I HAVE JUST STARTED COLLEGE AND NEED SOME EXTRA FUNDS. I AM EMPLOYED, AND HAVE BEEN FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS. I NEED A CARD WITH A $1,000 CREDIT LIMIT, I HAVE NEVER HAD A CARD BEFORE, BUT I NEED ONE TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES AND BOOKS, AND MAYBE APPLY TO MY TUITION. WHAT CARD WOULD YOU SUGGEST?
Answer:
You can apply for a secured credit card, which is the best option in case of bad credit (the other way out is a card with a co-signer). Look through the corresponding sections of our site and choose the card. Be careful, you are not eligible for student credit cards, as they require good credit.
