Hi!
my son; 23; is living in california where he graduated in june and has been employed since july. he is going to be leaving his job at the end of february and will be moving his things back home to illinois. at the end of march he is on his way to asia for a 6 month adventure. the only card that he has used is a debit card.

he is looking to apply for a credit card for use overseas. can you make any suggestions for the best type of card to use in asia or overseas; and what he should be aware of.

he will be changing his address to our illinois home and i have suggested that that be the address that he put on the application for where he wants his statements to go. since he will be gone for an extended period of time, by coming to illinois, i can take care of payment.

i also thought that it may prove to be helpful that my name be on the account, just in case the card gets stole or lost, so that i can be allowed to speak to someone about the account in his absence.

thanks for your help!
