my credit isnt that good. i need a credit card which allows me to do balance transfers with low APR. is there any card that i can apply and be excpeted? |
|
Answer:
Balance transfer cards is an excellent way to reduce your debt and to save your money by reallocating your current balance to the other card with lower interest rate. As it happens this kind of service is rendered by many banks on different terms. Most of them now offer balance transfers with 0% intro APR for 6 to 12 months as well as no annual fee, that's why the deal can prove to be rather profitable. However all the banks agree that only those whose score is either good (660-749) or excellent (750-850) can apply for such type of cards. That's why it is strongly recommended to examine all three reports before applying and estimate the chances of approval. Remeber that if you are not eligible for balance transfers you'll be denied and your score will be further damaged. So if your score is not high enough try to raise it applying for the fair credit cards or those for bad credit, keeping your balances low and making all the payments on time. |

my credit score is 690 is that good? |
|
Answer:
The credit score is very important for applying for a card. It is the main indicator of your creditworthiness. According to the most widespread system of scoring the numbers are devided as follows: from 350 to 619 - poor credit, from 620 to 659 - fair credit, from 660 to 749 - good credit and from 750 to 850 - excellent credit. So, you see, that if your score amounts to 690, it can be considered good. However the majority of lenders typically offer more financing options and better interest rates for those whose score exceeds 700. So, inspite of the fact that your current score is good, keep working on the further raising of it. |

can I purchase my fico score only
can I purchase just my credit score not the report
can I purchase my credit scores not the reports |
|
Answer:
It is necessary for every cardholder to distinguish between a credit report and a credit score. The report contains all the information about your credit history, and the score is only the three-digit number, based on the contents of report. According to the laws everyone has a right to get a free report from each of the three national credit bureaus once every 12 months. However you can't get your score free of charge. FACTA says you can get your score at a “reasonable” fee, which in fact is quite a vague definition. The answer to your question depends mainly on where you live and where do you get your score. For example, laws of California and Colorado allow you to buy your score without purchasing a report. You can also purchase the educational scores produced by the credit bureaus as a stand-alone product. But mind, that the score alone has less value as it is just a number, that can change quickly because it depends largely on the information in report. That's why it is recommended to obtain the score together with the report, in order to check the latter for mistakes and misleading items, correct any inaccuracies and be able to apply for the best credit cards. |

what is a good score |
|
Answer:
A credit score is a number that is used by lenders to evaluate the risk of giving you a credit. It matters greatly for your financial health and by far determines your chances for getting your application approved. The score depends on the information in your credit report. Generally the score ranges from 350 to 850. The higher the score, the more chances you have to get a loan and the better terms of credit will be. In addition, the score has a great influence on the prospects of getting instant approval. Score above 660 is considered good, and if the number exceeds 750, your score is regarded excellent, which opens up many opportunities. |

why are my experian score so much lower than equifax and transunion even though they have the same info? |
|
Answer:
Indeed sometimes there could be differences among the scores from three credit bureaus - Experian, Equifax and Transunoin. This can partly be explained by the fact that these three agencies work separately and have slightly different methods of scoring. Besides, what is more important - not all lenders submit the necessary information about your loans to all three bureaus, they may report only to one or two of them. That's why it is essential for you to be sure that your creditors report to all three credit bureaus. Moreover, you must be certain that your reports are updated by each of the bureaus and that they contain no mistakes, omissions and inaccuracies. To put your reports in order you must apply to each of the three credit bureaus and ask them to provide you your reports. After receiving them check each report carefully for any incorrect or outdated information. Ask the bureaus to correct the wrong items immediately. Keeping your scores equal is very important, and if you manage to do that and raise them high enough you'll have a good chance to apply for the best credit cards. |

how do you raise your lowest score? my scores are 624, 619, and 517. my bills are being paid on time now. so how do i raise it? |
|
Answer:
Someone said that raising your score can be compared to losing weight. It takes much time and effort and requires from you patience, persistence and accuracy. You must be aware that it is simply impossible to get immediate results, because negative information can stay in your credit report for seven or even ten (in case of bankrupcy) years. You are going the right way, paying all your bills on time, but still there are some other steps for you to undertake to improve your current score. First of all, check your credit reports for mistakes and inaccuracies and if there are any contact the agency immediately and correct them. Try to minimize yout debts and keep your balances about 30% of the credit limit on each card. Open new credit accounts only if you need them, try to limit their amount. Don't forget about your old cards, keep using them because in other case the information on them will not be updated. If you observe all these recommendations in time your score will be high enough to apply for the best credit cards. |

which credit score do you look at? the highest one or the lowest one? |
|
Answer:
Credit score is extremely important as it represents the major indicator of your creditworthiness. That's why when making a decision lenders first of all examine this three-digit number. The higher the score, the more chances you have to receive the best credit. As it happens there are three companies - the so-called credit bureaus - that provide information about your score. These companies are Equifax, Experian and Transunion. Their methods of scoring differ slightly, thus the numbers may differ too. Generally the lenders either look at the lowest score or take the middle rate. |

I need to apply for a credit card to help me rebuid my credit after bankrupcy. What do I do? |
|
Answer:
Nowadays it is possible for a recently bankrupt to apply for a credit and get an approval. To improve your credit history you are wellcome to choose among the so-called cards for bad credit.Opportunities are different, but we recommend you to apply for a secured credit card. Generally banks are more eager to provide such type of card to the customers with bad credit history, because in this case your paying capacity is guaranteed by the deposit into savings account. However if don't wish to deposit your money getting unsecured cards is also possible, though they generally will be of higher APR, higher annual fee, etc. To get your card just fill the required form and send it to the bank. But remember -whatever card you have chosen the main thing for you is to make all payments on time in order to improve your history. |

I will be 18 in November of 07 and i'm going to be looking in to getting an apartment. i have no credit so i need to know how to build up my credit before i can get an apartment? |
|
Answer:
If you are not 18 yet you don't have the right to get a loan. However if you wish to build up your credit history you can do the following. Ask your parents to open a savings and a checking account in your name, if they haven't done it yet. This is essential as it proves your financial independence and ability to deal with money. You can also become an authorized user of one or more of their credit cards. In this case the cardholders will be your parents but you will be able to use the credit limit. Try to keep the balances on them as low as possible, as all the information (both positive and negative) will be reflected in your report. When you come of age and be ready to receive a loan, turn to the no credit credit cards. Consider all the variants carefully and choose the one that suits you most. Another way is to draw the so-called co-signer, that is a person who will be responsible if you don't pay off your bills on time. But mind that even in this case all the negative information will hit your report and damage your score. |

i dont have no history of credit how can i get a credit card |
|
Answer:
Even if you have no credit history you can apply for a credit card. Most banks are glad to obtain new cutomers and have special programms for new-entrants. With no credit history you are able to apply either for secured cards or for unsecured ones. Both types have their advantages and disadvantages - secured cards are easier to get, but they require you to deposit some amount of money. With unsecured cards you don't have to deposit anything, but often have to pay either a high APR, high fees or both. Which to prefer is for you to decide. We offer several variants of both types of cards. The procedure of getting a credit card is very simple. If you have chosen the card and decided to apply for it online, you only have to fill the required form, get approval of your application and receive your card in the bank. |
