i'm trying to do a balance transfer however my credit score with transunion is 656 what would be my best credit card option
Answer:
If you are eager to reduce your current debt and save money balance transfer is a good way to do it. Many banks nowadays offer the service of reallocating your balance from a high interest credit card to a better one. The majority include 0% intro APR for a period from 6 to 12 months, no annual fee and other favorable terms. However generally the balance transfer credit cards are available only for people with good or excellent score. So, before applying for such cards you must be sure that your score is high enough, otherwise you’ll be denied and your score will be damaged. Your score is 656 which is considered fair. So please try to improve it first. Pay all the bills on time, keep your balances as low as possible, don’t open new credit lines and consider your reports regularly. Keep in mind that must take into cinsideration not only Transunion score, but scores from all three bureaus - they may differ, and lenders generally look at the lowest one. When your score will reach the good level, try to apply for a balance transfer card.

Early april I replied to an offer from capitalone and was approved for a $300 limit. My credit is poor. I just this week got another offer for the same type of card from capitalone, should I apply to get more available credit or is it to soon or impossible to get. By the way, I already spent $275 on the $300 but I will make timely payments. Thank You.
Answer:
Opening new credit lines is rather a bad idea if you want to improve your current credit score. The wish to get another loan to pay off the first one is natural, but we don't recommend you to solve the problem in such a way. If you want to build up the credit score you must try to avoid applying for new cards. The second important thing is to reduce your debt. Try not to spend the whole or the most part of your credit limit because it can influence your history in a bad way. Use your card lightly, pay all the bills on time, keep the balance as low as possible, check your reports from all three bureaus regularly and correct all mistakes in them immediately. If you follow these recommendations in time your score will be improved and you will have an opportunity to apply for a good card.

my son is 16 can he have or get a card in his name? he does not have a bank account.
Answer:
Only people who are already 18 years old have the right to apply for a credit card and be approved. Thus if your son is now only 16, he can't become a cardholder. Nevertheless that doesn't mean he can't start his credit history. First it is recommended that you open a cheching or a deposit account for him. This is important as it will prove his ability to deal with money. Besides he may become an authorized user of your or another person's card. In this case he will not be financially responsible for the account and will not be liable for any charges. However the information (both positive and negative) will be reported on his history as well. Most banks do report authorized user's information. So, he must take it seriously and make all the payments on time. If he uses the card in a right way his score will be improved and when he comes of age he'll be able to get the best credit cards.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY NEW CARD, WHAT LIMIT CAN I EXPECT.
Answer:
The credit limit is the maximum amount of money you may charge on your credit card. This limit is mainly determined by your credit risk. So, it depends on the terms of your card and may be changed according to your credit history. If you prove to be a good credit payer, you'll be given a higher limit. That's why before applying for a card consider your credit report and estimate your financial state. Keep in mind that the limit is not a constant figure, it may change as your score changes. And it may not only go up, but also go considerably down. That's why if you want the higher limit you must use your credit lightly, pay all the bills on time and keep your score as high as possible. In this case you'll be able to apply for the best credit cards with the highest limits.

how can i start my credit if no one give me credit
Answer:
If you have no credit history and want to establish one there are some cards you can apply for. Nowadays many banks, such as Columbus, Dakota, First PREMIER, Millennium and Orchard, offer deals for no credit. On our site turn to the page devoted to cards for no credit. Read all the details about each card, compare the present offers and choose one that suits your requirements. Another way to build up your credit is to apply for one of the so-called secured credit cards. With this card you will have to deposit some amount of money to guarantee your ability to pay. On our site you can find several variants of these cards too. After you’ve chosen the card you like just click “apply” and submit an application online. The bank will consider it and send you the card by post.

If I have fiiled bankruptcy in the past, can i still get a credit card?
Answer:
Nowadays, credit is available to the recently bankrupt. Negative information, especially that of bankruptcy, may stay on your credit report for almost 10 years but that does not mean that you are not eligible for a credit card. It may be more expensive than before, and available with lower limits. A secured credit card is a good way to establish a history after bankruptcy and it is generally offered with lower rates than unsecured cards. Rebuilding creditworthiness depends on the usage of the card. If you use it carefully and pay off your bills on time, you'll benefit from cards for bad credit. Mind that before applying for the card, it's necessary to get your credit report first and correct any mistakes in case you find them. Then, you're welcome to compare the best bad credit cards or secured cards, presented at our website and apply for the one that suits you most.

How do you increase your credit score and how do you fix it?
Answer:
First of all, request you credit report and check it for any inaccurate information. It is recommended that you do it regularly. Learn your current credit score. It will be better if you request the score from each of three credit reporting agencies, such as Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. It is important because the numbers may differ, and the lenders generally look at the lowest score. If you miss your payments it may negatively affect your score, so do your best to pay all the bills on time. You should minimize the amount of inquiries on your credit report. Otherwise, you may lose up to 5 points from your score for each inquiry. If you have a bad credit history, open new accounts only if you need them, Try to keep your balance low and use your cards lightly. Don't forget to use the old cards because in other case the information will not be updated. All these recommendations will allow you to establish a positive credit history and in time you'll be eligible for the best cards.
6 Minimum $200 deposit required. Your credit limit will be equal to the amount of your deposit.
