Intro APR on Purchases
Often a credit card issuer will offer a low or zero percent APR on purchases for a limited time, known as an introductory period. This promotional period may last anywhere from three months to 21 months and will remain in effect as long as all payments are made on time, the credit limit is not exceeded, and all conditions of the card are met. If a customer goes into default, the introductory period will no longer apply. After the period ends, the regular ongoing APR will apply to any balance carried.

Intro APR on
Balance Transfer
An initial low rate, often a zero-percent rate, will be offered for balance transfers on many credit cards. If payments are made on time then the introductory rate will last for the full advertised amount of time, which may be anywhere from three to 21 months. After the introductory period, the regular APR will go into effect.

Ongoing APR
The ongoing APR is the annual percentage rate that is charged on purchases and balance transfers after any introductory offer expires. It may be variable or fixed, and the ongoing APR often varies depending on a customer's credit rating and payment history.

Annual Fee
A fee charged by a credit card company each year for use of a credit card. Most banks have credit cards without annual fee. Annual fee may range from zero dollars to several thousand dollars, depending on the credit card offer. Certain types of credit cards, for example credit cards that offer frequent flyer miles as a reward, always come with an annual fee. Other types of credit cards, for example credit cards that offer cash back as a reward, usually have no annual fee.

  • CreditLandCom
Most credit cards for bad credit have annual fees and high APRs. However, this credit card does not have APR on purchases. So, if you are one of those who carry a balance from month to month, the Horizon card won’t look that bad.
  • CreditLandCom
The interest rates are listed in terms and conditions. If you do not see them or they are N/A, you will receive your personal interest rates when you apply for a card. If you do not like the terms offered, you will be able to refuse an offer.

There are situations where even an instant decision card needs to take more time to evaluate an applicant. These situations occur when applicant does not provide full information or if the information is doubtful. In this case the credit card issuer needs to collect additional information to make a decision. But most of the time you get a decision right away.

  • At first sight you may think that the Buypower card has an amazing rewards system but that is not. My friend used this card to buy a GM car and when it came to buying a car he could not redeem all of his earnings towards the car. It appeared that there was a max redemption limit.
  • HeatherWal
It looks like you friend used the card quite a while ago, now Buypower card does not have redemption limits. Capital One removed them. Now you can use all earnings toward a new car, what I recently did.
  • So, I can only use my earning to buy a new car?
