Because of an illness I could no longer make my payments, now most of my credit cards are charged off, when will my credit be considered decent again, ( I do have a few department store cards I have worked hard at paying off, but they were very small amounts). When will my credit be considered normal again?
Answer:
If you filed for bankruptcy, it will stay in your credit report for 7-10 years, so good cards will be unavailable for you. Your credit will be good when all negative records will be moved away from your report and your score will be also good, the latter being achieved by getting bad credit cards and paying them off accurately.
