Answer:
Usually you deal with the bank in the following way. You apply for a credit card, receive an approval, after which the bank sends you your credit card. It can be delivered within several days or a couple of weeks. So the bank sent it and after that it is the mailing service that deals with the card. Of course, you can contact the bank during the the time the credit card is going to you, and the bank can agree to close your account, but still you will have to receive the card and to return it to the bank, as cards usually are stated as the property of the bank.
I recommend you to call the bank and ask them about the details, as it may happen so that terms&conditions do not allow to close the account during a certain time or there are other peculiarities. |
