I have a credit score of 550 because of the only credit card ive ever had when i was 19 and therefore its like impossible to get approved by any other one. My question is if theres a credit card with no type of fees because i noticed that they all charge an activation fee and i dont want to pey to get a credit card, and their apr's way too high. wHAT DO YOU RECOMend?? |

Answer:
As your credit is too young yet, you can only be approved for special card offers for limited credit history. There are some credit cards that charge really attractive APRs but they are not without fees. As your credit score is low, fees are inevitable. No fee cards are only the privilege of good/excellent credit customers with long payment records. The following credit cards are some of the cheapest for limited credit applicants. Capital One Platinum - Visa offers 0% intro APR on purchases until May, 2009 and 8.9% APR after that. There is a moderate annual fee but no set-up fee. You'll be able to save up to 40% on featured deals when using the card at the Capital One Saving Zone on Yahoo! Shopping. Smaller annual fees are available on No Hassle PointsSM Rewards card from Capital One. Though it charges a higher ongoing APR, the 0% intro rate on purchases is also available. Besides, there is a generous point rewards program with no limits and expiration dates. If you do not want any annual fees at all, take a look at Capital One Standard Platinum . There is no set-up fee either, but the APR is as high as 19.8%. However, the 0% intro APR is preserved on this offer. These cards help you build credit at a relatively low cost. Apply today! |
