I have a credit score of 713 but my history is very young (less than a year). I currently hold 2 store cards (jcp & boscovs) and i cancelled my capitalone card last month. I will be graduating with my electrical eng in couple of months and I have a job lined up. I would like to apply for a cash back or a travel creditcard (preferably a travel card). I would appreciate your suggestions and tips. Thanks in advance. |

Answer:
Though your credit score is high you still have average/limited credit history. So, we can only suggest Capital One cards for average/limited credit history and student credit cards. Have a look at Capital One No Hassle CashSM Rewards for Young Adults. If qualify, you'll get a manageable credit line, moderate annual fee and competitive APR on purchases. You'll earn cash back on each dollar charged, with no limits and expiration dates. Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Card for College Students offers 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers and attractive APR after the teaser period. No annual fees and a generous cash back rewards program apply. Discover® Student Tropical Beach Card comes with 0% rate on purchases for 6 months and no annual fees. You'll earn 5% cash back bonus on purchases in travel, gas and grocery categories and 1% cash back on all other purchases. Unfortunately, best travel rewards credit cards are not available to applicants with limited credit history. Choose among the cards suggested and apply online to continue building strong credit. |
