I opened a platinum visa with wamucredit card company just shy of one year ago...I have always payed more than the amount due prior to the due date. A few days ago i was informed my account had been sold to another bank. that my account would not be serviced after the 27th of march however prior to that date wamu would continue to service my account...the main reason i took this card was to better my credit score it was to track my score each month. wamu failed to update my score tracking the first of the month. when i ask why i was told it is what it is and if info is missing that is just the way it is...then i was informed in the future i would only be able to apply for a wamu card by invitation only.. the new card arrived yesterday..it is a classic visa. has no info as to the terms or what benifits come with it or the credit limit amount The web site and phone info of this new card say please call back on march 27. wamu customer service has no available info for the new card. and i was told not to c
Answer:
When you apply for a credit card or agre to take a credit card offer, that means you agree with the terms and conditions of this offer (to agree with them you actually have to know them). If the bank doesn't give you any information about the card, think twice before you start using it. And remember: you must not send any payments before you activate the card.
As far as the previous card is concerned, the information about your payments on it should be reflected in the credit reports, if not, you should ask the bank to do it. But if the bank didn't promise to report to bureaus in the credit agreement, you probably won't be able to make them do it.
If you think the bank's actions are illegal, do not hesitate to apply to the court, as you pay money to be serviced by the bank.
