I turned 18 recently and i am trying to obtain an unsecured credir card. what would be my best choices

Best unsecured cards for beginners are offered by Capital One Bank which has recently lowered its interest rates on purchases. However, Capital One requires that you pass some minimum eligibility standards before issuing you a line of credit.

It would be perfect if you were a student. Then you could apply and be approved for Capital One Standard Platinum for Young Adults , a no annual fee card with a lowered rate on purchases and 0% intro APR.

If you are not a student, then you should have some sort of income to show that you can pay your monthly bills. If you do have such, consider applying for Capital One Standard Platinum with no annual fee and 0 % APR on purchases, or Platinum - Visa with the lowest APR on the market and small annual fee.
