I want to know who I can speak to about an account that was opened in 1995. I also want to know how I can obtain if I can get a copy of the paper work or credit information. |

If you are sure you paid off your credit card debt, but the information about this account is still on your credit reports, you should contact the bank and the credit bureaus. Probably, there was a mistake and either the bank or the bureau failed to update the information after you closed the account or paid it off.
Contact the bank and ask them to check the data on this account - they will find the necessary papers and will report to the credit bureaus at your request. You should also contact the credit bureaus and ask them to clear out the situation, as they are supposed to remove the wrong information from your report and add the missing items.
