I went Bankrupt 4 years ago, Divorce. How do I get an unsecured credit card in Canada, I have a capital one card already, I have good credit except for the Bankruptcy?
Answer:
It is extremely bad as your credit history has suffered. It may take a lot of time to be approved. Don't expect to get a large credit limit after bankruptcy. Bankruptcy information may be reported for 10 years. However, there is a solution to your problem. You can apply for credit card online and get an instant approval for secured credit cards for bad credit. Unsecured credit cards for bad credit are also be profitable although they are expensive and give little credit. On sites of some banks you can choose the card, fitting to you, without its ordering. There are a lot of cards: Orchard bank Platinum MasterCard, Orchard bank Silver MasterCard, etc. Just fill the service-list, pointing your credit conditions, and it will show you a list of cards. But before you start applying for a loan, check your credit report and make sure all your accounts are in order. For many issuers your income is more important than your financial problems. Just explain why you went bankrupt.
