IWhen applying for a credit card online, how long does it take to be notified if I have been approved ? Also, if approved how long before I will be able to use the card for purchases? Thank you. |

Answer:
Unless you apply for a credit card from the category "Get Instant Approval", it may take up to 10 business days for the bank to review your application and make the lending decision. If you are approved you will get a notice from the bank asking you to allow another 10 (at maximum) business days for the card to arrive. As you get the card and the activation number with it, you can start spending on it. If you apply for an instant approval card, you usually wait some minutes to get the response. Then you know whether or not you qualify. Typically, instant approval cards are designed for good/excellent credit score and work if your credit report does not need further scrutiny. |
