We are refinancing our home mortgage which will pay off our cars and leave us with no debt except our mortgage. Our credit history is fair now and the payoffs will occur on Monday, October 30. Our financial advisor has told us to apply for credit card to help improve our credit scores. When would be the best time to apply so that our payoffs will be seen? |

Actually, your credit report is updated every 6 months, as a rule. But I suppose, you can ask the credit bureaus to put this information into your reports so that the score will be better. |
