We filed bankruptcy in 2004 (due to a failed sole-proprietorship business). We have had 4 new credit cards that we have been using to reestablish our good credit. We have had them for a year or less, and have paid at least three times the monthly payment on each one, each month and never had a late payment. I want to transfer the balance on the highest interest cards and pay them off. One is 24.24% another is 17.65%. The total of these two cards is approximately $1536. Is there anyone out there that you could recommend that is remotely interested in helping us? |

Answer:
You will not be approved for a balance transfer card, as they are for good credit history only. In my opinion, you shouldn't try so hard to transfer your balances - better pay them off as they are, to avoid possible failures. I wouldn't also recommend you to apply to debt consolidation agencies - it can also decrease your score. |
