Will it improve my credit score if I cancel credit cards that I am not using?
Answer:
Not likely. In fact cancelling a card can really lower your credit score, and if no annual fee or something of the kind is included into the terms of the card, it's not necessary to cancel the credit card until its expiry date - but this won't add any credit points to your report. If you still have an intention to cancel your card, you should ask your bank about the details of this procedure. Unfortunately, our site can't assist you in cancelling the card, as we are not credit card issuers and therefore we don't have the right to cancel credit cards. The only aim of our site is to provide information about the best credit offers from various banks. We can advise you either to call the customer service and dictate the necessary information to the operator, or go to the official site of the bank and follow the given instructions to fill out the cancellation form.
