does it help your three scores getting better if you want to re-open the credit card was closed within a year by accident (account was in good standing for over 3 years...never missed payment, late payment or over credit limit)?
Answer:
You see, every creditor has different demands and rules. Some companies prefer keep closed account closed. Others let you reopen it within 6 months. Besides, it is important, who closed the account and by what reason (even if it happened by chance).
If the account was closed by the initiative of the credit institution, then more than likely, you won't be able to re-open it. If you closed the account yourself, then it might be possible, but you would have to call the creditor and see if they would be willing to open a new account for you, or re-open the account. To find out whether it will do any good to your credit history is advisable to contact your bank or company.
