Answer:
Unless you have good or excellent credit, applying for a 0% balance transfer card is a bad idea. Check your credit score and credit report. If there've been numerous bad payments in your name recently, you'd better avoid applying. If your score is somewhere between 660 and 850 and you haven't been late more than 60 days on more than 1 bill in the last year, consider the following credit cards: Capital One Platinum is a good credit offer with 0% intro APR on balance transfers until January 2010. Its eligibility requirements are: you've had a loan or credit card for 3 years or more; your previous or current card's limit is above $5,000; and you haven't been more than 60 days late on any credit card, medical bill, or loan in the last year.Discover More® Card and More® Card - Clear have the same requirements and offer eligible applicants 0% intro APRs on balance transfers for 12 months, low ongoing APR on purchases and no annual fees. Both the cards come with unlimited cash rewards and $0 fraud liability. Please note, all these credit cards have 3% balance transfer fee, so the more you transfer, the more you pay for it. Nevertheless, the 0% intro rates will save you hundreds of dollars if you pay bills on time and do not use the cards for new purchases.
