The credit score is very important as it helps the issuers to decide whether you qualify for the chosen card or not. Making choice according to the score is extremely significant, because if you apply for the card you are not eligible for you'll be denied and your history will be negatively influenced. At present people with all types of scores can actually apply for a credit card and be approved. However for the convenience of both customers and lenders the scores have been divided into several categories. These categories are: 0-350 (no credit), 350-619 (poor credit), 620-259 (fair credit), 660-749 (good credit) and 750-850 (excellent credit). So, as you can see, the good score implies that your score falls between 660 and 749. It also worth mentioning, that before applying for any card it would be better to learn scores from all three bureaus - Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. The figures may in fact differ, and as it happens the lenders generally look at the lowest value.
