While Exxon card advertises “6 cents per gallon” savings, it's a bit catchy. To qualify for this rebate, you must first buy at least 45 gallons of gasoline per month. If you buy less, you won't get rewards. Instead of trying to meet rewards program requirements, we would recommend you to get a credit card that will reward you for every dollar you spend on purchases everywhere. Such cards do not usually have caps or additional requirements, but they may have rotating categories allowing you to earn and save more.
