They still accept the Discover card, but they no longer issue it. The new line of credit cards come in two forms the basic store card and the Sam’s Club MasterCard. This is an improvement as the old Sam’s Club Discover card had a reward system that worked on a tier basis which meant you had to spend a certain amount to even be able to begin earning rewards.

The new cards clearly have a better rewards system than the old Discover card but have stiff competition when it comes to competing with other rewards cards. Also there are no additional rewards to be earned at Sam’s Club which is interesting seeing as they are owned by Walmart which is one of the largest retailers in the nation.
