I am from Turkey but I fly to the US on business a lot. I like Turkish airlines and I’d like to get some cash on business flights and probably earn a vacation. What card can you suggest for faster earning?

Answered on

First of all, you need to decide what you spend on most. Flying Turkish Airlines is good, but it won’t earn you a lot of miles let alone a vacation flight. If you want to accumulate plenty of miles, think in terms of a universal cards that you can take with you on your trips and earn on additional expenditures, including accommodation, dining and other purchases. That way you’ll spend a lot and earn even more. The dream card that will allow you to multiply your rewards is the Discover it® Miles card – you get 1.5 miles per dollar on all purchases and at the end of the year all the miles you’ve earned are matched! All your spendings combined, this is more than enough for a vacation trip: for example, if you earn 50,000 miles, you’ll get 100,000 miles, and that equals more than one roundtrip international flight.
