I need dental work done and want a card with 21 months of 0% interest and credit line of $5,000. What is my best option? How long does it take to apply for and receive a card? What would the monthly payment be? Is a credit card option better than financing?

You can consider applying for the Citi Simplicity® Card. The card offers 21 months of 0% interest.

Your credit limit will be determined by the credit card issuer based on your creditworthiness and credit score. People with good credit can usually get up to a $5,000 credit limit.

The minimum credit card payment will be determined by the credit card issuer, but if you want to pay the borrowed amount within the introductory period you should calculate the monthly payment based on the total amount you are planning to borrow and the amount of time the card has no interest.

The whole application process can take up to a month. Credit cards usually have lower rates than loans. Also, credit cards are revolving credit accounts, which means you can take as long as you want to pay it off as long as you make the minimum monthly payment.
