I want to close my Aeromexico card and apply for a credit card from a bank instead. What card can you recommend? A card with bonus rewards will do perfectly.

You can consider applying for the Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard. The card comes with a 12 months of no interest period on balance transfers. You will be able to transfer the balance from your Aeromexico card and close it. Just make sure you transfer the balance within 45 days of account opening to get this zero intro APR.
The Arrival Plus card has a bonus miles rewards program. You will be able to earn two miles for every dollar spent on travel and on all other purchases. There also is a 50,000 miles sign up bonus. You will need to spend $3,000 on purchases within first three months to get this bonus.
