Does a cash advance include ATM withdrawals? I’m only 18 and entering college in the fall with no credit history because I’ve never bought anything on credit before. Is this Discover student card usually approved for someone in my situation?

You can apply for the Discover it® for Students credit card. But to get approved for it, you will need to provide proof of income and you should be a student so you should wait to apply for this card until the fall when you are enrolled in college. Once you have the card, you can get a cash advance through an ATM. To do this you will need a 4 digit PIN. Note that cash advances include high interest rates and you will also be charged a cash advance fee.
