Yes. Depending on the credit limit you will be extended on your new Discover it® Balance Transfer card, you will be able to transfer the whole balance or a part of it. This card comes with a 0% intro APR on balance transfers, which will last for 18 months. When the intro period ends, the ongoing APR of 17.24% - 28.24% Variable APR will apply. The card also comes with a balance transfer fee - 3% intro balance transfer fee, up to 5% fee on future balance transfers (see terms)*. This fee is changed of each amount you transfer to your new Discover it Balance Transfer card. The annual fee for the card is $0, though.

You can request a balance transfer to the Discover it Balance Transfer card during the application process or after approval. We would recommend doing it after approval when you know what your credit limit is on your new Discover card. Keep in mind that if you transfer more than available credit limit for balance transfers, your balance transfer request can be denied.

Also, if your balance transfer request is successful, keep making all due payments on the card from which you transfer until the balance posts into your new account and the transaction is confirmed. Otherwise, you may incur unnecessary penalty fees.
