AirTran Airways credit cards are no longer issued. Old AirTran credit accounts have been converted to Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards credit cards. AirTran and Southwest combined their loyalty programs after the airlines merge. So, if you want, you can apply for a Southwest credit card or for a different credit card that will allow you to earn miles on all your flights. For example, it can be the Barclaycard Arrival Plus credit card. The card will allow you to earn miles for all your travel expenses and for your everyday purchases. Miles can be redeemed with any airline without limitations.
