There are two consumer credit cards offered by United. The first is the United MileagePlus Explorer Card that comes with such travel benefits like first checked bag free and priority boarding. The second card – the United MileagePlus Club Card – has all benefits of the first card and some additional benefits like United Club membership, free second checked bag, and Premier Access travel services. Since both cards are loaded with benefits, there is an annual fee. The Explorer card is cheaper – $95 a year, the fee is waived for the first year though. The Club card comes with a high $450 annual fee.
