American Express and Inspirato Offer Luxury Vacation Savings

If you’re an American Express cardmember looking for a new luxury vacation option, you’re in luck. Amex has just teamed up with Inspirato, a vacation club that caters to elite globetrotters, to offer discounted membership and exclusive savings. American Express cardholders can get $2,500 off the initial fee of $17,500, and $400 off the annual $3,000 membership fee.

The new brand is called “Inspirato with American Express” and is expected to help grow the luxury vacation company.  To kick off the new partnership, American Express cardholders can take advantage of the introductory offer that saves them a total of $2,900 if they join by April 19, 2013.

Inspirato, which was was launched in 2011, offers a new kind of vacation experience. The company leases and manages multi-million dollar homes around the world, including Aspen, St. Barts, Nantucket, Sonoma, Los Cabos, Maldives, Tuscany, Maui and Provence.

Personalized trip-planning services are offered prior to departure and VIP concierge services are available throughout the vacations. Travelers have access to spas, golf courses, children’s clubs and all the other amenities they might expect at a full-service vacation club.

Inspirato also plans company retreats and employee trips, as well as destination weddings and family reunions. Members can also get discounted prices on airline travel and other transportation services.

Inspirato with American Express

Inspirato currently has only about 3,000 members, but with the new partnership they can now market to the millions of American Express cardholders.

American Express members who join Inspirato will have their membership automatically renewed each year and charged to their cardholder account. They will have to call if they wish to cancel.

Travel credits earned through the Inspiranto with American Express program can be used only to pay for Inspiranto vacation fees and will expire three years after membership purchase. To get the discount, members must meet certain eligibility requirements.
