Amex Makes UAE More Lucrative For Cardholders

If you’re planning on visiting the United Arab Emirates and happen to be an American Express cardholder, then you’re in luck because Amex is once again rolling out their Experience UAE campaign. It offers discounts on airfare, hotels, restaurants, shopping, and having fun in the UAE. It will be running for the next six months.

If you haven’t booked a flight yet, you can get 10% off with Etihad Airways, and if you’re looking for a place to stay, you might want to take a closer look at the The Meydan Hotel, Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi and Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa, because you can get a 20% discount at those hotels. But that’s not all, The Fairmont The Palm, Dubai is offering a free third night plus a $25 hotel credit when you book your stay with them using your American Express card.

What about eating out? You can also get 20% off at Al Nafoorah at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray and Frioul restaurants, and if shopping and activities are more your groove they have discounts on everything from Pacha, Talise Spa and Xclusive Yachts to Rivoli, and La Moda Sunglasses.

This initiative starts now and goes until spring 2016, with offers expiring in March, April, May and June, depending on what it is, so it pays to read the fine print when exploring the options.

UAE gets a thumbs up from Amex

This is the fifth year that Amex has run this campaign, and they see it as a way to not only give back to their cardholders but also promote travel. “We know that our cardmembers are extremely passionate about shopping, dining and lifestyle experiences and we are proud to work with the leading names in travel, hotel, dining and shopping to bring the tailored offers and benefits. We believe Experience UAE will encourage cardmembers to discover the United Arab Emirates and create their own experiences,” said Usman Arif, vice president of UAE – American Express Middle East.

The website provides information on the discounts current available, as well as the ins and outs of each offer.
