American Express is known for giving their customers access to special events at events they sponsor, from the US Open to the TriBeCa Film Festival. Now, attendees of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in at Lincoln Center in New York City will be able to attend a special members-only fashion show featuring stylist and reality TV star Rachel Zoe.
The Rachel Zoe-hosted fashion show is only one of the perks offered to fashion mavens with an American Express card. Cardmembers will also get insider access at the American Express Skybox, and anyone attending Fashion Week will be able to enjoy the American Express Instagram Towers art show in the lobby of the show grounds at Lincoln Center. Fashion photographer Garance Doré will show off street photography in the lobby display, and amateur shutterbugs around the world can be featured in the show as well, by submitted photographs on Instagram and tagging them #AmexFashion.

We know how much our cardmembers love fashion and we are constantly looking at ways to serve this passion by connecting them to inspirational fashion moments and creating unforgettable experiences.”
Rachel Zoe Exclusive
On Thursday September 13, American Express members have the chance to attend a Spring 2013 runway show by Rachel Zoe, who was recently inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America. This will be Zoe’s first Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week show.
“I am so honored by the opportunity to work with such an established global brand and to provide the American Express cardmembers with an exclusive fashion show of my Spring 2013 collection – it’s going to be an incredibly fun and fashionable evening,” said Zoe, who launched her first fashion line in 2011 to great success.
The event will feature pre-show cocktails and conversation with Rachel Zoe. Cardmembers can buy tickets at the American Express website.
Skybox Luxury
High above the runway, American Express holders can watch the shows in style in the American Express Skybox, hosted by former Vogue publisher Lottie Oakley. The great view of all the best fashion shows of the week will be shared by some of the biggest names in fashion, as cardmembers get the chance to mingle with fashionistas and hear about the latest trends.
MADE Partnership Highlights Emerging Designers
American Express will also host a series of meet-and-greets with the young designers of MADE at Milk Studios, including Peter Som, Jeremy Scott, and Creatures of the Wind. Through exclusive styling sessions and question-and-answer sessions, fashion enthusiasts will get to hear from the newest voices in fashion and find out about their artistic influences and process.
This is the 11th year that American Express has sponsored Fashion Week, and they are supplementing that support with a $250,000 donation to the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) that will go toward emerging designers like those from MADE. The collaboration of MADE at Milk Studios began in 2009 and is in its seventh season showcasing the best young designers.
