Choice Hotels Teams With RewardsPay for their Choice Privileges Loyalty Program

Choice Hotels International, Inc. is teaming up with RewardsPay, an online payment service firm, for its Choice Privileges loyalty program. Members of the hotel reward program will be able to easily redeem their points and rewards digitally when they shop at popular online merchants. The RewardsPay service allows members to make real-time transactions using their Choice Privileges points and get their preferred rewards via email.

Choice Privilege members now have access to the network of online sellers that are connected with RewardsPay. These include such leading retailers as iTunes™, Aeria Games, Bigpoint and Grooveshark. Choice Privileges members will be able to click on a RewardsPay payment button on the online checkout page of participating outlets. The Choice Privileges rewards portal will also have a clickable option to pay through the program.

Up to now, Choice Privileges members have been able to redeem their points for rewards like free nights at Choice Hotels, gift cards and travel rewards. This new relationship extends the reach of Choice Privileges members to new audiences and industries, giving members the ability to redeem points when they buy music, movies, e-books and games. It adds to the value of points because they can include purchases beyond the traditional options.

In the past five years Choice Privileges has tripled its membership to over 17 million members around the world. Members can use their points at over 5,500 Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria Suites, MainStay Suites, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, Econo Lodge and Rodeway Inn brand hotels as well as Ascend Hotel Collection member properties.

Membership in Choice Privileges is free. Choice Hotels International franchises more than 6,200 hotels in the United States and over 30 other countries.  The franchise has construction projects at an additional 394 hotels in the United States and construction projects have begun at another 88 hotels in over 20 other countries.

The consumer payment service RewardsPay was founded in 2010. It enables its customers to use the miles they earn from airlines and the points they earn from hotels, credit card and cash rewards to pay for what they buy through applications and on merchant websites. In addition to Choice Hotels the company also has an arrangement with Discover’s Cashback Bonus.
