News: Citi Adds International Travel Partners to Points Transfer Program - Credit-Land.com

Travelers will be able to use their Citi ThankYou® points for more of their globetrotting adventures, thanks to new points transfer partnerships with international hotel and airline programs(Citi is a Credit-Land.com advertising partner).

Air France-KLM, Asia Miles, Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer are just a few of the high-profile travel programs that will now accept Citi ThankYou points for transfer to their loyalty programs.

Folks can transfer an unlimited amount of ThankYou points to any of the new international points transfer partners.

To transfer points, members log into their account online, choose a participating travel rewards program, and click "transfer now." They can choose the number of points they'd like to transfer, with a minimum of 1,000 points required to transfer. Conversion is one ThankYou point per mile with most partners.

There are no blackout dates for travelers using Citi ThankYou Rewards to book tickets through its portal. Points don't expire, and there is no cap on how many ThankYou points cardmembers can earn.

Citi Prestige Card offers best value

Holders of the Citi Prestige card can book travel through the ThankYou Travel Center for the best value. Plus, the Citi Prestige card offers extra convenience for international travelers because it is EMV chip enabled. This technology means it is accepted around the globe, where magnetic-stripe cards might not be usable. Other traveler perks include no foreign transaction fees, and dedicated concierge service available around the clock, seven days a week.

Flexible redemption

Besides travel, Citi customers can redeem ThankYou points for gift cards, concert tickets, statement credits, bill payments, merchandise, or charitable donations. They can also shop with points on Amazon.com and LiveNation.com, or get a Rewards Account Number to use their points balance to pay for purchases at any merchant that accepts Visa or MasterCard.
