American Express has worked with music stars like Pharrell Williams and Maroon 5 for its Unstaged series, and this week they’ve announced the next lineup: Artists In Residence. They are lending a helping hand to three up-and-coming artists including the British band Rixton, Aussie pop singer Betty Who, and singer-songwriter Mary Lambert.
With #AmexAIR fans will be able to connect and support these artists and get access to exclusive content. “We are thrilled to welcome these three incredibly talented and creative artists to the next evolution of our Unstaged platform. We want to help these artists reach more fans, cultivate their craft and grow their business, and at the same time bring incredible, digital music experiences to fans around the world,” said Deborah Curtis, vice president of entertainment and sports marketing at American Express.
Music, Music, Music
#AmexAIR teamed up with YouTube and VEVO to get this music party started. This month they will be rolling out exclusive digital content on the AmExUstaged YouTube page. Fans can learn more about the artists, by checking out interviews where they talk about their stories and more.
In late October the artists performed at Brooklyn’s Music Hall Of Williamsburg, with American Express Card Members attending the exclusive concert event. The footage from that concert will be aired during the week of November 17.
The weeks line up is:
- Betty Who: 3pm EST on Tuesday, November 18
- Mary Lambert: 3pm EST on Wednesday, November 19
- Rixton: 3pm EST on Thursday, November 20
American Express released the concert footage on their website and Vevo’s, as well as on mobile/tablet and TV apps. People can also visit Amex NOW, their television channel, which will also be airing the concert. Amex Now can be accessed through Samsung and LG connected TVs, as well as Roku and Amazon Fire TV.
Unlocking The Stars
With the #AmexAIR Unlock program fans can help the artists take advantage of some one-of-a-kind opportunities including taking over Vevo’s Instagram account for Vevo, and an exclusive fan Q&A on the Billboard Twitter account. Fans can help out the new artists by talking about them on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #AmexAIR.
