Earlier this summer the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport partnered with Thanks Again to launch the Dallas Fort Worth Customer Rewards Program, allowing members to earn rewards on everything from airport hotel rooms and rental cars to books, magazines and food purchased in the terminals. They have now added vending machines to the roster.
Similar programs are up and running at 14 airports in the U.S. American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier, United Airlines, US Airways and Hilton HHonors are all taking part in this rewards program so members can earn points and miles toward free flights and hotel stays. This week they expanded the program – now travelers can rack up miles and points when using airport vending machines.
Technology equals more miles and points
USA Technologies, Inc. a company specializing in helping consumers and businesses make and receive wireless and cashless payments teamed up with Thanks Again and Canteen Vending to include airport vending machines in the program. Vending machines throughout the airport were outfitted with technology that allows them to track the amount of frequent flyer miles and points travelers earn while using these machines
Earning rewards at the airport
Travelers will have to sign up for the program at the Thanks Again website using a debit or credit card. It’s free to sign up and new members receive 100 bonus miles or points though the end of 2013. Once signed up, members will earn points on all eligible airport transactions and purchases.
Earning those rewards may well be easier for travelers with a wide selection of stores available in the DFW Airport, including 18 new shops and restaurants located in terminal A. The shops and businesses enrolled in the program will have a “Thanks Again” decal displayed.
