Barney’s New York is looking to expand their share of the luxury retail market by adding a beefed-up credit card program to their lineup this fall. The new program expands the benefits of the existing My Barney’s Bag card. Enhanced in-store benefits include free skin treatments and wine while you shop.
Influencer tier elite members get a black metal credit card and will receive luxury travel incentives as well as part of several new partnerships with a series of luxury travel networks.
The New Program
Cardholders will still earn 1 to 5% in reward points depending upon how much they spend annually. With the new program, they will now also receive a wide range of services and perks, including complimentary valet, alteration credits, and free shipping on purchases.
Complimentary in-store beauty and skin care treatments are also included in the package, along with a direct line members can use to contact personal shoppers and access special events.
The Black Card
The Influencer tier is a program designed exclusively for elite customers. The black card includes a complimentary one-year Leaders Club membership for Leading Hotels of the World, a luxury network which has 430 hotels in its portfolio.
It also includes a three-night complimentary stay and a discounted membership for Exclusive Resorts, a club destination offering 350 luxury residences. Preferred rates and travel credits for EmpireCLS Worldwide, a chauffeur service, is also a part of this package.
Members also receive exclusive in-store extras, including VIP phone service allowing them to make reservations at Fred’s, a restaurant located upstairs from the Madison Avenue flagship store. They also get free dessert with dinner and waived site fees when booking private events there.
