U.S. Bank and the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, parent company of Radisson and other hotel chains, have introduced a new hotel rewards credit card with a sign-on bonus of 85,000 points – enough for a free week’s stay at a Carlson Rezidor property.
The gives card members 50,000 bonus points with their first purchase and 35,000 points after spending $2,500 in the first three months. It has an annual fee of $75. This credit card is one of several offerings for frequent travelers that are available through the partnership between the bank and hotel group.
Rewards can be redeemed for hotel stays at over 1,000 hotels worldwide starting at 9,000 points per night. There are no blackout dates. Also, when members redeem at least two consecutive award nights, the last night’s stay is free through the “Bonus Award Night” program.
Earning points and perks
Cardholders earn five points per dollar on all purchases, and ten points per dollar spent at Carlson Rezidor properties. They also get 40,000 bonus points every year the card is renewed.
Cardmembers qualify for Gold Elite Status in the Club Carlson hotel rewards program by using the VISA card one time. If they are already Gold Elite members, they’ll get 15 qualifying nights toward the next level of membership – Concierge Elite Status.
Other redemption options include exchanging points for airline miles. There are over 20 participating partner airlines that accept reward points from the Club Carlson Premier Rewards Visa Signature Card. More information is available at clubcarlsonvisa.com.
