Sun Country Airlines and First Bankcard have introduced a travel rewards card offering up to four points per dollar spent and 40,000 bonus points after spending $500 in the first three months.
With the Sun Country Airlines Visa Signature card people earn bonus points on purchases made with the airline. While in the air, travelers earn four points per dollar for on-board services and products including food and beverages. Tickets and upgrades earn two points per dollar. All other purchases earn one point per dollar.
There is no cap on how many points people can earn with the credit card rewards program. The annual membership fee of $69 is waived the first year.
Cardholders receive an additional 5,000 bonus points each year when they spend $10,000 or more during the year. Balance transfers, cash advances, credit insurance premiums, money orders, special check transactions, fees and finance charges do not count toward the minimum spend. It will take 4-8 weeks for bonus points to show up in accounts.
A membership in the airline’s UFly Rewards program in included with the card. The points travelers earn can be redeemed through the program. Points can be cashed in for travel on Sun Country Airlines subject to availability. There are no blackout dates for reward tickets though. Travelers can use points to book flights any day or any time they like and get any kind of seat.
Points will not expire as long as people earn or redeem reward points once every three years. Points can be pooled by up to nine UFly rewards program members. Certain restrictions do apply when pooling points.
