Canadian Credit Cards
[02:53:22 AM Monday, October 22, 2007]
Most of us were, as it seemed to us, fairly indignant at the Bank of America policy to provide legal credit card applications to undocumented immigrants working in the country. However, from the point of view of democratic freedoms and civil rights, we appeared to be sadly mistaken.
A country which economy is driven by credit is an alluring place to settle in but is inhospitable for those without at least some little credit history. Canadian government is getting on to the fact that no financial operation, be it a purchase, a car rental or hotel stay, can pass without a credit card and so it has admitted the possibility for immigrants to start their own credit file in the country.

Credit Cards in Stores
[06:02:22 AM Monday, October 29, 2007]
It has been a long time already, since the credit card market saw the first so-called co-branded credit cards. Debit cards have also recently joined the game and are in their infancy yet but their growth potential is doubtless and strong. What is meant under a co-branded credit card and why does it bring such a significant portion of revenues to the credit card industry and its holders as well?
Co-branded credit cards are credit products sponsored by two companies and stuffed with rewards and benefits meant for their mutual customers. In other words, when a bank or credit company is joining hands with your favorite musician, sports team or retailer to issue a joint credit card with special benefits, there appears a co-branded credit card application which is a gainful deal far all the participants of the agreement.

Subprime Credit Cardholders
[04:58:34 AM Thursday, November 01, 2007]
The subprime lending market patterns are declared by Experian to be undergoing significant changes, shifting from the traditional flow of things. Earlier, customers with poor payment history and shaky financial status continued to apply for credit cards as well as mortgage loans, but when it came to paying off debt, the mortgage was the first thing to do away with.
Nowadays, there is a new tendency which stirs some uneasiness among home loan lenders. A recent Experian study revealed that bad credit history customers tend to be late on mortgage payments rather than on their credit card.
Certainly, there are reasons for the shift from the conventional behavior and the major one is claimed to be the change in the customer's management of personal finances.

Credit Cards Deregulation
[03:46:12 AM Tuesday, November 06, 2007]
What is deregulation? It is the abolition of the Government's regulation practices, the act of taking off limitations in any sphere of the State's structure. If we refer the term to the credit card industry, we get sky-high interest rates, fabulous penalty fees and all sorts of other charges that serve as the main source of revenues for credit companies.
However, not all customers fall victims to the deregulation of the credit card industry. A recent study revealed the actual payers of the cost of unregulated credit card practices. They are most financially vulnerable American families that are eligible for subprime credit cards only with all those huge fees and rates.

Credit Card Limits

Good or excellent credit consumers have always been entitled to superb credit limits on their cards. However, their hunger for more of available credit has never subsided. Even today, owners of $50,000 credit line are looking for ways to extend it and the greater limit they get the more confident and respected they feel. However, is it always that great to have a limit to everybody's envy?

You would think it is nonsense. Why reject such a great privilege when your creditor puts trust in your financial responsibility and values your creditworthiness?

Credit Debt Consolidation

The average US credit card debt is mounting and it is becoming ever much harder to manage it. The number of consumers accustomed to using their cards purely for the sake of rewards and paying their balances off each month is still relatively small. The major part of US cardholders is still dependent on their credit cards in their everyday life. It's easy to guess that regularly pulling out your plastic to pay for a morning cup of coffee, let alone other things you need every day, is very likely to pile you under a heap of unpaid bills sooner or later.

However, while debt has become a common thing for the US credit cad industry, it should by no means be something desirable for an American household.
