Credit Card Payment Device
[06:43:20 AM Thursday, January 31, 2008]
Up to very recently, restaurants have been the only place among other retailers with weak security systems for credit card payment transactions. Many of us still remember the much-talked-of security breaches at restaurant chains, when credit card data of hundreds of customers was stolen and sold to ID thieves and credit card fraudsters.
The incident has not caused a cutback of customers so far, but I order to prevent its possibility, officials in credit payment systems have introduced a special handheld device that has gained complete acceptance and popularity in Europe already.

[07:01:49 AM Thursday, February 14, 2008]
Some of the most practical credit consumers know that a specified rewards type credit card allows them to have the biggest savings and discounts on purchases at specified merchants. The opportunity to save is never more attractive than when you stop at a gas station to fill up. With gas ever prices rising, car owners, especially long distance truck drivers are always seeking ways to save on a gallon.
Credit cards with gas rebates can be a beneficial deal if you want to pump up your vehicle and save at the same time. Logically, the more fuel you buy, the more rebates you pick. But as it actually happens, you face strict limits when using plastic at a gas station.
What's the sense of limiting your gas purchases, when credit issuers make revenues from your credit card spending?

Credit Cards with RFID
[05:51:44 AM Tuesday, February 19, 2008]
In continuation of the topic on non-swipe credit cards, or cards based on Radio Frequency Identification principle, we will speak on the possible drawbacks and even threats of fraud that this technology may carry. The idea to turn to this very aspect of the technology and to profoundly develop it has not come to us by itself. One of our readers, commenting the article on the non-swipe cards, drew out attention to some very smart tricks that fraudsters use to read off the personal and credit information on such plastics without even touching them.
It appears that actually no swipe credit cards present a great risk of a customer becoming victim of ID theft, regardless of the fact that they stay in your own hands under visible control.

Credit Cardholders Rights
[05:12:18 AM Tuesday, February 26, 2008]
We talk much about credit card education as we believe it helps us avoid all those numerous traps set up by self-profit credit companies. Once you learn about the regularities and laws, you feel like a specialist, able to read and understand the fine print and make analytical comparison of credit offers in search of a better one.
However, credit education alone does not always give efficient support for your rights as a cardholder. What happens de facto? You know what the "any time, any reason" interest hike or universal default mean. You know about the too high and unsound penalty fees and double cycle game. But does your factual knowledge protect you when all these things come to affect you?
Not much, without the proper and long-waited-for legislation.

Impossible you say? Why not? With a new Visa credit card, a look is enough to feel your dear cat, dog, bird or a hamster around you any place, any time. If you are a true pet fancier, a PetPerks Visa card will give you an opportunity to make the relationship even closer and stronger.

Education on Credit
[06:40:05 AM Thursday, March 13, 2008]
The next generation is the "generation of plastic money" as they call it. If some years ago, a credit card was first obtained not earlier than at the age of majority, then today a plastic is available to schoolchildren already. Evidently, it has become the major concern for parents to guard their children from all those numerous mistakes and bad credit habits that they themselves were exposed to when young and inexperienced.
The question is what is the quickest and most effective way to teach a child efficient credit management?

Easy Credit Repair
The abundant supply of credit repair services available in the USA today does not drastically change things for the better. While some of the neediest customers are at bay, ready to catch at every reasonable-looking plan, the agencies just use another source of revenue. The demand for credit repair help is rising in direct proportion to the debt level and it creates a whole new market. Perhaps this really the only way out for customers facing bankruptcy but what about luckier ones? With a few delinquent accounts in your name, some small fund available and firm will, you'll restore your payment history and lender's favor. The key is to know if it's not too late to start.

Build up Credit
Why is it so easy to start up credit history at college? Why are non-graduates not as lucky as youngsters with great job prospects and salaries? Financial giants such as Bank of America, Citibank and Discover realize college students promise a profitable customer base and it makes them take action towards marketing school-branded credit cards onto the campus.
Students are hardly ever denied in their credit applications because they are treated as creditworthy, desired customers, barely they go through a college door. T-shirts giveaways, phone campaigns and in-store promotions are just a few short and easy ways to profitable credit lines for the young.

Credit Card Limits
Good or excellent credit consumers have always been entitled to superb credit limits on their cards. However, their hunger for more of available credit has never subsided. Even today, owners of $50,000 credit line are looking for ways to extend it and the greater limit they get the more confident and respected they feel. However, is it always that great to have a limit to everybody's envy?
We have recently got a curious question from one of our readers, who wonders whether it would look reasonable if he asked his credit company to, would you believe, lower his credit limit to $3,000 which at the time was $23,000.
You would think it is nonsense. Why reject such a great privilege when your creditor puts trust in your financial responsibility and values your creditworthiness?

Credit Debt Consolidation
The average US credit card debt is mounting and it is becoming ever much harder to manage it. The number of consumers accustomed to using their cards purely for the sake of rewards and paying their balances off each month is still relatively small. The major part of US cardholders is still dependent on their credit cards in their everyday life. It's easy to guess that regularly pulling out your plastic to pay for a morning cup of coffee, let alone other things you need every day, is very likely to pile you under a heap of unpaid bills sooner or later.
However, while debt has become a common thing for the US credit cad industry, it should by no means be something desirable for an American household.

Credit Building Tips
It appears that the majority of people who ever applied for credit card and got denied do not actually get their problem and take wrong steps in the aftermath. Generally, a customer is turned down in his/her request for credit for one big reason - unfavorable credit situating which makes an issuer doubt the profitability potential of the customer.
That's where misunderstanding rests. Unfavorable credit rating comes in two ways - problem (bad) or no credit - and in most cases predetermines a customer's future credit capacities and issuers' loyalty. So, before you decide to have a credit card of your own, make sure you check your credit to know your chances and to take steps to improve them.
