Top Chef Masters Tasting Courtesy of Chase Sapphire

Earlier this month Bravo Media and the Chase Sapphire Preferred teamed up to bring a “Top Chef Masters” tasting event to New York. While it was clearly a night of celebration for the show’s new season, Chase Sapphire Preferred also made it a charitable night donating $25,000 to City Harvest, an organization which feeds a million New Yorkers every year by rescuing food that would otherwise be thrown out by restaurants.

The Stars

The event brought out all the Top Chef stars, including Gail Simmons who is taking over as the show’s top critic, and host Curtis Stone. Chefs appearing this season were also on hand for the celebration, and some like Franklin Becker, Richard Sandoval and Sang Yoon were busy in the kitchen whipping up dishes, which they will be preparing on Top Chef Master this season,

Chef Jennifer Jasinski recreated her orange and ginger caramelized skirt steak with a roasted mushroom fregola salad. Seafood lovers enjoyed David Burke’s smoky white bean hummus topped off with “angry” shrimp.

Chase Sapphire Rewards VIP Experience

The tasting was sold out just four hours after the tickets went on sale. Chase Sapphire Preferred cardholders were able use their Chase Ultimate Rewards points to buy tickets and purchase a full VIP experience.

“We are thrilled to offer this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for cardholders to celebrate their passion for food and experience a never before seen look at Top Chef Masters,” said Jeff Bedard, Chase Sapphire Preferred’s marketing director.

Part of the exclusive VIP package was early entry into the tasting, so they could mingle with the shows stars and get a tour of a replica of the Top Chef Kitchen especially installed for this tasting.

More to come

Chase Sapphire Preferred has partnered up with Top Chef Masters so there will be other exclusive events and on-air activities for fans to watch and participate in during season five.

Renowned chef Art Smith will be hosting an on-air event featuring various Chicago restaurants, while another event will feature an interactive map featuring the restaurants of contestants on “Top Chef Masters” this season.

The show airs tonight at 10 pm on Bravo. For more information go to
