When you stay in a particular location and always fill gas from the same gas station, the monitoring alert will inform you the moment the card has been swiped at another gas station. It could be a false alarm but it could come handy in some situations, especially when your card has been stolen.

Lost card replacement

A lot of reputed credit card companies will offer you lost card replacement feature. To utilize it you need to be aware of their hotline number. When you lose your wallet or your card is stolen while you are on a vacation, you need to inform the customer service through hotline as quickly as possible. This will ensure that the card is blocked almost immediately and there is no misuse of your credit card.

Check your monthly bills thoroughly

Don’t pay your credit card bills blindly. There is liability insurance wherein, you can deny certain charges on your credit card, if they are fraud expenses that you are not involved in.
