If you want to earn rewards on all purchases at a good rate, choose from general travel rewards credit cards. This type of cards often offers fixed rewards on all purchases and may give you more flexibility, lower APRs and other perks. You may choose from no annual fee credit cards and no foreign transaction fee credit cards. For example, consider the Discover it® Miles credit card. With this card you will earn unlimited 1.5 miles on all purchases. All the miles that you’ve earned are matched at the end of the year (provided you are a new cardmember). So if you earn 35,000 miles, you get 70,000 miles. This card doesn’t have annual and foreign transaction fees.
